@RolexReplicaReview Fake watches are for fake people, just like a fake Rembrant,it may look the same but it is not!!! People with fake watches are mentaly ill people trying to flex and to look rich, but the worse thing is people who know watches will figure it out fairly easy and look at you as an idiot.

@RolexReplicaReview you wouldn't buy a fake Ferrari or a fake Phone, don't buy a fake Rolex. It's not cool, it's an insult to Rolex and people who own the real deal because it's lying to try to be something it isn't.

I'm disappointed you didn't get a good audio for us to hear the Bulova tuning fork! I remember these from back in the day. People were kind of amazed by the totally smooth sweep of the second hand... now 60 years later, we've come full circle with the Grand Seiko Spring Drive- another variation of the quartz movement, which again is iconic for its smooth sweep second hand.

Today I've been with my wife to our X-Mas brunch and I was wearing my SKX which went great with a Polo. But somehow the topic of me not having a real dresswatch came up. On our walk home we went watch window shopping and instantly my wife stopped at the Junghans Max Bill watches in the window-display and made the sweet remark, that I should add one of these to the collection 😀

Thanks for mentioning the face sizes of the different Seiko SKX watches! I have skinny wrists so I tend to shy away from anything too bulky. The 39mm SKX013 sounds like it would be a good fit for me so I will have to look for one. I would love to hear your thoughts on considerations and recommendations for watch enthusiasts who have skinny wrists (~6" diameter) in terms of both of aesthetics and practicality. The 36-39mm range seems to be the sweet spot for me.

That Max Bill is a great call. It checks so many boxes for a collection. Dressy, Bauhaus, not Swiss or Japanese. And to me a manual wind is the cheapest feature one could ever hope for. Lighter, possibly thinner. You pay less and get more. Interact with the watch daily in a way an automatic does not offer. One of the reasons I adore my Speedy.

Being an owner of 20 tuning fork Accutrons, I agree with you that these are classic iconic watches. Two of mine are Spaceviews. In fact, it was a Spaceview that started me on the collection road. I still have that watch, and a very hard to find....dare I say rare.......Spaceview with a 14K white gold case. Even though they are small, I do love these watches. Hi, I'm just starting to get into Horology and am more than likely going to purchase a Seiko Men's SKX009. However, I was looking to add a NATO strap to it as I'm not much of a fan of the original strap (and to add my own personal flair to it). When purchasing an aftermarket strap, I assume that I should have it be the same mm as the original bracelet width? In this case, 22mm. Anything you have to say or add would be much appreciated. Best wishes, Daniel.

I have the "Bishop" Seiko, and it is my favorite watch, in part because my car was also Giugiaro designed.

I have a quick question regarding a Hamilton Khaki King Auto. I was just wondering what your opinions on it were. And also, whether to get it on a bracelet or the leather strap version. I have seen the bracelet version cheaper than the straps which was unusual, but was wondering your opinion. I thought that as the bracelet is also removable, I could get a leather strap in the future, and still have a high quality bracelet, but wanted to know what you think.

So- my son will be visiting his best friend in Japan this February. I guess I can have him pick me up a Seiko SKX 009J. Do you know if the price will be even lower than $200?

Most likely it will be more expensive to buy there, then it would be to purchase outside of Japan. Of course that depends on exchange rates, and the dollar is up since I was last in Japan.

Brennan however I would get the domestic version which is hard to find here in the US. I will give him $300 and see what can he get me- thx

Fantastic. I have no idea how much they are over there, but I highly doubt they will be too expensive. However, I hear Japan is quite a costly place in general. I envy your son, I am dying to go. I hear the watch shopping over there is incredible. I hope he finds one and has a great time, thank you David. Best regards, TGV

For $300 there are a lot more options for you that are JDM (Japan Domestic Market). Do some research online to see what else you can get. :)

Hi TGV Great respect to your attitude; that there should be a great/iconic watch for everyone, regardless of prices. And there surely are! I have seen this it go wrong so many times in magazines and sites about other things, like cars, fashion or hi-fi. You can easily be seduced by the newest technology's and the highest levels of quality, which is very understandable for an expert in a given field. And suddenly you are only focusing on this. The problem is that these qualities of cause mostly comes from the most established (-and most expensive) manufactures. As a result you loose contact with most of your viewers/readers in the long run. Of cause the highest levels of quality and the most innovative technology's is a field that should be covered too. No problem with that. I just want to compliment you for your non-snobbish attitude. What a fine selection of great watches this is👍

I believe the Tissot Visodate is going to be a classic / iconic piece in the near future. Also the Seiko 5 series should have a special mention! :)

Luca Simoncini A lot of people dismiss the Visodate, but its a great looking watch for the money.

I was going to get it, until I found the Seiko Presage SRP467J2 for 100€ less. But I must admit the Visodate is a tad better looking.

Does the visodate have in-house movement? I believe the Seiko SARB series are much better
