If you want an affordable sunscreen. Sunhalt gold sunscreen is the best. It was recommended by my dermatologist and you won't require a moisturiser after using it. It makes your skin plump, smooth and bump free. It costs rupees 450 for 60g.

I have done some research on glycolic acid and have been told by my dermatologist to use other substitute in its place. Glycolic acid is in general good and does what it claims and the amount she used is very good as well but i heard that it also has post side effects if used in excess or on dark skin it causes darkening of the skin it is applied onto (after you stop using the product completely) , it might just be me being paranoid or smthg but I'd rather go with alternative which doesn't have side effects/less SE rather than glycolic acid nonetheless I'm using it knees and elbows as the skin there is thicker than than the face so yeah I'm never using it on face. Just wanted to leave it here for ppl who are going to start without doing proper research. Please consult some good dermatologist or start with mild products with less side effects as every skin type is different and considering that glycolic acid mostly used for brightening, you don't want those burn marks that don't really go away for months or a year
@ghostaltx10 ай бұрын
How long have you been using glycolic acid for your elbows and knees? And how's the results
@Quinbelle10 ай бұрын
@@ghostaltx it's only been 2 weeks and some 4 days and I started with 1 times a week and looking to increase the dosage to thrice a week so I've only used it some 4-5 times & as you expect (no major changes) because those take time (for knee and elbow hyperpigmentation it almost takes 6months to see major changes). You can actually try it for yourself if you want Start with 6%. And if it doesn't suit you lactic acid/ mendallic acid are good alternatives to AHA

@Quinbelle10 ай бұрын
@@sanamyoutuber9784 glycolic acid not for you, it is an AHA which mainly tackles problems like hyperpigmentation since you have oily skin you should look for gel based cleansers/ products that do not truly strip you off of all the natural oils instead look for mild cleansers that specifically target your issues. I personally think Cerave and Cetaphil have some good mild cleansers for sensitive, oily and acne prone skin again take this with a grain of salt as I'm no dermatologist + always do a patch behind you ears to avoid causing irritation to your face. For moisturizers, it just depends on where you live, if you have super oily skin and live in humid environment you do not need moisturiser in your routine but if you don't the cheapest option would be to mix rose water and glycerin to moisturizer and tone your face. But realise this as well, salicylic acid is very much needed but it shouldn't be overused. It isn't smthg you should be using daily starting from day1. It is an exfoliant which will help you with your acne probs/ blackheads/whiteheads/sebaceous pores in the long run. 2% salicylic acid is taken as the standard but you should always start with a lesser concentration that might've been the reason why your face got irritated. I think you should buy a less concentrated

You can use glycolic acid at night weekly 1 or 2 times but you should also use moisturizer since it'll make your skin dry and spf is compulsory in the morning. And for strawberry legs using a homemade mixture of coconut oil and sugar (or salt) to exfoliate the skin using a facial brush or cleansing device to gently exfoliate the skin using a gentle natural ingredient like oatmeal or yogurt to scrub the skin It's important to note that everyone's skin is different, and what works for one person may not work for another.
