On my 2014 gmc 5.3 i cut the exhaust off rite after first 2 cats n did a 3" straight pipe n dumped it rite behind the axle with a 4.5" tip,sounds insane!!

For the loudest - true duals are the way to go but if you want a nice deep sound that stands out but not enough to get the cops after you then super 10 is perfect. I put that on my truck 5 years ago and I love it to this day. If you really want to hear it then step on it and she screams! Lol

1 7/8 Long Tube Headers, off road y pipe 3 inch pipe to a delta 40 flowmaster and a set of dual 4 inch tips dumped under bed is the best sound for any 4.8, 5.3 and 6.0 then just get a tune and get rid of the check engine code. $800-$1k installed in Houston Texas

Flow master super 10 is definitely the way to go. I run mine dumped behind the cab with a resonator tip instead of a reg steal dump tip. They have way more sound on the top end than the 40 does but don’t sound ridiculous like straight pipes. The tip makes a huge difference too, don’t settle for a steel turn down!!

As the owner of a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado LTZ, I have taken the initiative to modify the exhaust system of my vehicle. The original equipment manufacturer (OEM) muffler has been replaced with a Black Widow Venom 300 muffler, while the 5.3L V8 engine and 3" OEM single exhaust remain intact. This modification has resulted in a pleasing auditory experience, characterized by the absence of droning sounds and an overall reduction in noise levels. However, the exhaust system does produce a more pronounced sound when the accelerator pedal is depressed significantly. While this may be considered undesirable due to noise ordinances, increased fuel consumption, and personal preferences for economical driving, it is important to note that such instances are infrequent and occur only when necessary.

Snuffy The Seal i got kooks y pipe high flow cats, after installation you will need a tune . If not you will prob have the same check engine light i got po420 and po430 for the cats.

In the state of Maine where I live the law is if it came with cats then they have to be on there BUT it also means there doesn't have to be anything in them, i.e punched out with a pipe thru it... what I did with my toyota was get a magnaflow high flow cat it's only like 10 inches long and a lot less restrictive than stock while still filtering out the extra co2.... and there somewhat easy going on mufflers again as long as there's a muffler they don't really car my truck has a 21inch (not sure the actual size it's in the low 20 inches) thrush glass pack... So my truck has a MF high flow cat and a 21in glass pack.... on a 2.4L 4 cylinder. U can find a vid on it on my channel

Seeing the comments. I know its not loud, especially when you compare it to a muscle car/tuner but come on, they're trucks. Going full blown open headers and completely straight pipped does get annoying after a while with all that drone (believe me, I use to have stacks on my cummins and going on a 3 hour trip was like going to a shooting range with no ear muffs). I think the 2nd to last one with the Y pipe and dual tips sounds great.

Antonio Hurtado yes it would because I bought a full exhaust headers to tail pipe off a guy on FB Market Place and it worked great, I have a Chevy and it came off a GMC

My 07 silverado 1500 has shorty headers, to a true dual straight pipe all the way back to stainless steel exhaust tips out both sides, no cats, mufflers, or resonators. Loudest exhaust you can get ( I heard nascar boom tubes are louder though, I really want those :)! )

Loudest setup is a good set of headers, full cat delete to true dual 3” pipe, all the way out the back with big 6”+ tips, with or with out pinched pipe inserts, along with a genuine cold ram air intake.

Carven R. Its 10" long, 3" in and out. Its hollow. With one plate for a baffle lol. But, it gives the deepest tone, super loud without removing the cats. Not bad while cruising. And that last silverado sounded like complete shit. Farty, raspy, crackling, poping shit. Straight pipes are the mullet of the exhaust world lol

Uh if you want a real exhaust ditch all factory pieces, get some hi flow cats, 2 1/2" pipes, thrush rattler series or turbo series mufflers, then run pipes into 3" angle cut tips out the back. Your welcome.

That was an older generation truck. It didn't come with a 3rd cat from the factory. Tennessee law doesn't allow you to take off the 3rd cat if it came stock with it.
