Just trying to help out a fellow M3 guy...also I'm honored to be the 420th subscriber haha...I bought Avent Garde M359's for mine as the CSL/Comp style that came with my car were very worn and had a flat spot so one wouldn't hold air for more than a couple weeks. What was interesting was at the time, roughly 3 years ago, the replicas on Turner were more than their genuine BMW rims, but the Avent Garde's were less than both. I wanted to keep the basic style and get slightly wider wheels, I'm running 19x9 +35 offset in the front and 19x10 +25 in the rear. I think it's like 1" and 1/2" wider than factory, though I don't recall which is which for the increase. F-245/35/19 and R-275/35/19. With tires included I paid about $2,300 I think. I do love the originals though. I'd love to restore my M3 to like new condition, it's got just over 230,000 miles on it, interior is pretty bad in spots, the rubber around the side glass is deteriorated, and the paint looks good from about 15 feet away lol, not terrible but needs attention. I've got some nice lil mods on it and now just looking to bring its appearance back up. You have a beautiful car man!!

Thank you man! I've only had the car for about a month but these cars are amazing. Definitely one of my favorite bmw's I've driven and I've driven a lot. That's awesome though man the s54 is such a great motor, they really do run forever. I think the interior and exterior isn't that hard of a fix depending on what it needs. A lot of body guys overcharge like crazy, just gotta find somebody who's fair and willing to worth with you. I'm currently working on an interior swap on mine. The condition is pretty good I just wanna ditch the dove grey interior. There's so many interior pieces in ebay that are in pretty good shape. Could always have an upholstery guy redo some stuff for you too but that gets pretty expensive.

If driving is your priority; 1. Big brake kit 2. Solid steering coupler 3. Upgraded engine and gearbox mounts 4. Coilovers 5. Short shift kit (330d/f10 M5) I'd also suggest polybushing throughout, fitting a purple or black tag rack and then youre pretty much there. It only takes about £7k of mods to make it drive right 😂

So far I have upgraded motor mounts and gearbox mounts, bilstein pss10 coilovers, polyurethane diff mounts, camber plates and stainless steel brake lines. Car feels really solid but definitely could use a set of better brakes.

@Allmotor1m camber plates are on my list. I get torn between the road/track variants. My car is already pretty noisy due to the polybushes and stiffer springs, so I don't know whether to make it even harsher or just stop there lol. I don't really want any more camber at the front tbh. The turn in isn't too sharp, but mid corner is 👌 and tyre wear is even, so I'm about where I need to be. In an ideal world, I'd have a setting for street and one for track, but it's impossible to be that accurate without the proper gear. Even the turret top markings aren't accurate enough to be reliable.

@e46m32 black rack is a noticeable improvement over purple. Much quicker and, in my case, a lot tighter. My purple one was a bit old and baggy, it must be said. The black one is much stiffer. 😳 I find it hard to gauge it right as a "fast road" car, but my aim is sort of an M3 GT3 Touring and I don't think I'm too far off. I have a dream of driving to, and around, Italy. Visit Palio Di Sienna, see Brescia for the Grand Depart, maybe visit Monza, Ferrari, Ducati, Lamborghini and Pagani museums etc. Make a proper month of it. I can't wait until the car is where I want it to be so I can do the trip and enjoy every mile.

@@e46m32 diff is a tough call, but I don't think may owners who have gone 4.1 have regretted not going for the 3.9.

Clean car! Just sent with the Eventuri evolve intake and tune. I don’t mind the rasp from the stock exhaust and it reminds me of seeing these cars new in high school. I do have a love affair with the supersprint section 3 or dinan

I've been back and forth between the eventuri intake or the karbonius. I know what you mean about the stock section 3 and reminding you of when they were new though. I think my problem with the stock section 3 more than the rasp was it was just too quiet. I've been liking the status gruppe a lot, especially at high rpms it just screams but I actually do miss the rasp that you get with the stock sections 3. It's just such a unique sound

You need to do headers. The exhaust sounds awful with the catted headers. Get euro cats (section 1) to keep it OE.

I think the exhaust sounds perfect. Status gruppe v1 is one of the best sounding section 3's in my opinion and the car now has a csl airbox so it's the best of both worlds. I am planning on doing euro headers eventually with this car because it's going to be a comple csl replica when I'm done.

Yeah they're oem. The way you can tell if they're oem or not is the stamping on the face. There are some decent reps out there but they won't have the stamping on the face or the right amount of concave

@@Allmotor1m My e46 m3 has the old CM reps here in the Uk, and stamped and only way you can really tell is the weight and the insert background colour from the outside spoke colour / finish. And obviously cost is huge difference, I’m not being a d*** it’s just I see a lot of people trying to sell as original over the years.

@@rabidbigdog I can confirm that that's 100% not the case. E46's definitely need some things upgraded, it's a 20 year old car. Stock these cars handle pretty bad because of the 235's in front. They need a beefier tire in front as well as a stiff set of coils, sway bars and pole postions. The best mod for these cars though is the CSL airbox and a tune. Makes the car 100x more enjoyable to drive
