Great ideas. I freeze tomato paste, I never used the entire can. I also freeze Parmesan cheese and use directly from the freezer into recipes.

I save my veggie scraps (pretty much ALL of them, onion skins, ends, etc.) and once I have a bag full I cook them in a crock pot for 16 hours to make fresh veg stock (add Parmesan rinds, gives it a fatty and flavorful texture!)

I wash all my ziplock bags that haven’t held any meat, with dish soap and a tiny bit of bleach. Rinse well with hot water,and leave open overnight to air dry. I can use a box of zip bags for a looooog time without rebuying.
