Possible future idol locations: -As a decoration on the immunity necklace -Attached to a breadfruit -Buried in a challenge involving digging -Attached to a chair of the comfort reward -Inside a torch (but nobody from the other tribe can take it. This would be interesting; if the torch owner's tribe never lost a challenge, they might not notice it until the merge. And the torch owner needs to notice it before they dip the torch in fire, or the idol will fall out and burn)

My favorite idol location is when they have it hidden in the tribe's shelter. Either under the bed or in the roof of the shelter. And, I know it's not an idol, but Sarah getting her advantage out of the torch of an opposite team player was pretty good too.

I found the Tocantins format hilarious. Firstly, only one out of the two people on exile island would get a clue, so there was always this awkward moment where the person who missed out would be like "hey, do you want to share please?" Secondly, the idol wasn't actually on exile island and was back at camp, so the contestants would just get frustrated having to wait around and not be able to look. Finally, the idol was found by reaching up the skirt of their treemail statue thing. Just looked real awkward and then having to explain to other people where it was became even funnier.

@@Peridiam Yeah, there's a lot of funny options, so I imagine it would have been hard to trim the list down! 😊 There was also the idol in HvHvH where the clue was found in that pasta reward where each player picked their order to eat/look and completely destroyed the setup. Then back at camp, Chrissy and Cole tackled eachother to get the idol under the tribe flag that was already sitting in Ryan's pocket.

I've always thought it would be pretty incredible for there to be a piece on the Individual Immunity Necklace that could be removed, and it would act as an Immunity Idol. Could be a clue somewhere that reads something along the lines of "The Safety you seek comes with the Safety you work for", or something. The winner of the necklace doesn't wear it around camp all day. So literally anybody could take it when nobody is looking and find it.

I'm pretty sure there was a pregame tribal tour interview with ew Canada where he specifically said that they decided to hide the voting booth so they could put advantages and idols at tribal. Maybe they were scared off that idea by everyone searching for stuff this season.

In the lining of a buff (i.e. written on the underside of the fabric.) The specific buff could have a slightly irregular pattern on it so a clue to that effect would lead to a survivor having to 'casually' get a look at everyone's buff and then decide whether they tell the person who has it, try and secretly swap buffs with them or just straight up steal it.

I had a Survivor birthday party when I was 9. One of the activities we did was to look for the hidden immunity idol. My parents hid it behind our storage shed and gave us a clue that had a bee on it and a picture of a building. It was trying to show "behind" the building drawn out which was the shed.

I feel like the past couple of seasons idol finds, particularly those when they find in trees, or near a tree, I feel like they were planted by the producers - the camera people that follow them around. Like whenever somebody is in trouble, especially a girl, so they go look for an idol - they are straight up just looking around on a trail and there's the idol conveniently there, in their vicinity. Especially Krishma from season 39, do you really think she looked for that idol all day to find it? Like it was described in previous seasons as something you have rigorously to look for, if you want to acquire one. I'm telling you, they're planting them, whenever somebody finds something near a tree.

On the Australian Survivor they have had a hidden immunity idol twice at tribal council. Once in season 'Champions vs Contenders' (Technically season 3, but if you go through Wikipedia to search it, it is season 5) where one was hidden in the urns lid (episode 3) and once in season 'All Stars' where it was hidden in a tree at tribal council (episode 1)

Even though this isnt usually shown because they dont generally walk all the way to tribal but take vehicles... on the way to tribal would be an interesting spot to have to grab an idol as everyone is around you but it would still allow the player enough time to try and come up with a new plan and maybe relay that to fellow players they trust to change the vote.

In one of my seasons I made the paperweight in the voting booth the idol. People were VERY confused by the clues and no one found it. Before I read the jury's votes I got some amusing reactions when I revealed every single player picked up a hidden immunity idol before they were voted out!!

One notable one for me from Australian Survivor: the 2020 Season of Australian Survivor All Stars where the people who had the clue had to find an idol at Tribal Council hidden in a tree with a symbol on it. Plus the clue was found in the first challenge.

There was one in a recent series of the Australian version, where it was hidden under a puzzle table at a challenge. Not that unusual in and of itself but the lady who had the clue that told her it would be under the blue table or something, completely messed up recovering it at all subtly and it was very funny. The challenge was over and everyone was celebrating and she like stumbled over to the table, felt around under it, knocked the thing on the ground, tripped as she bent over to pick it up, and then very unsubtly stuffed it into her bottoms. And everyone was like “you ok over there love?”

Idol hiding spot suggestions. 1. Under the raft 2. Wrapped up in a random merge buff 3. With the loved ones. (Everyone is given a necklace with a certain color. The winner hopefully chooses to bring to the reward the loved ones with the same color necklace as his loved one.) 4. On the torches (like a piece of the idol in everyone’s torch like a puzzle). 5. The actual torch is the idol (you know, since the torch has the flames that symbolizes life)

4:25 i remember watching an episode where one dude was just walking around the island near camp and he found an immunity idol in a tree stump before the clue was given out to find it so he kept it secret from his tribe and let them have a whole search once they got the clue 😂

I really like the Tai location, I think it could be pretty interesting if it went into the tribal idol, like imagine some sort of lock-and-key mechanism in that. I know Fire Tokens were used cosmetically in the tribal and individual immunities this season, so I’d love to see them actually have the real thing. Of course, it would have to be a little idol and would probably be pretty hard to actually happen, but it’d be cool. Also, I’d love to see them just put an idol in Treemail. Not near it or around it, just literally hand one out, because why not?
