Agreed with Santiago de Chile... it has a bad vibe, especially when you compare it with Buenos Aires... Brussels, i have been twice and loved it, but that was over 10 years ago, so it probably changes happened. Florence??? It's one of my favorite places in Italy! There is nothing better than autumn there.

Ahah yes Santiago just has something missing for men! And for Florence, it felt like a downgrade on Rome having came from Rome previously. Maybe an unfair judgement of me, but that was how I felt at the time aha

I agree with you regarding Brussels. It's a nice city to visit for a day, but it's loud, the city center fells empty, the traffic is just awful and you have a constant feeling of discomfort

@@lioneldemun6033 Florence is incredibly beautiful. There is no logical reason not to visit it. With this in mind, you should consider avoiding other Italian cities that are less beautiful, in my opinion, and some of them, like Venice, tend to be more crowded.

My five disappointments are Delhi, Moscow, Shanghai, Vientiane and Lyon. I loved Brussels, and Florence, really loved them but went to a Champions league game there. Hoi An also I liked, but I think that's because I knew what to expect and I only stayed there two nights. I knew exactly it was. I did not find the energy negative in Brussels at all. I do agree though that the other cities in Belgium are better.

Why did you find Moscow and Shanghai disappointments? These are two cities high on my list to visit in the future ahah
@monumentaltravel3745
@monumentaltravel3745 15 күн бұрын
@TravellingWithCon I like art and culture, both cities were boring to me. The Bund is just a row of tall buildings. The Kremlin and Red Square is so fake. They have art museums there but it's just Russian art and is pretty much unknown. Loved Xian though in China as well as other places like Chongqing. My favorite thing in Shanghai was the high speed train. China's history is spread around China and not so much in Shanghai. For Moscow, they have fountains and ballet but not much else. If you like churches it's good though. The churches are nice. But I've been to Europe so much and just like them better in Europe.

I haven't been to any of these cities, but I agree that Antwerp and Buenos Aires are great (although BA turned out to be much poorer than I anticipated and the outskirts are ugly). Tallinn, Estonia, to me, was a bit of a disappointment - although really beautiful, funnily, I got tired of it quite quickly as it felt a bit like an open-air museum, and all the shops and cafe's were a little too perfect - if that makes sense! Tartu, Estonia turned out to be a huge pleasant surprise, also Helsinki, Finland! But visiting Estonia for the nature alone is absolutely worth it. My biggest travel surprise was Hangzhou, China - absolutely gorgeous city with one of the best atmospheres I have ever experienced - unlike many other China cities that feel sterile / soulless. I also enjoyed Hong Kong, and the south / west of Lantau Island - so much soul, just incredibly expensive and the ocean is not very clean. Was also disappointed with Amsterdam, but enjoyed Rotterdam and Utrecht and the smaller Dutch cities. Other cities I enjoyed: Prague, San Francisco and, of course, my hometown Cape Town.

@@philiphoekstra9193 ahah well Tallinn for me was a little underwhelming too, but to be honest my expectations we’re that high for Tallinn. It’s pretty, but of course so our hundreds of other european cities ahah. To be honest China has never really been high on my priority list at the moment, but would you say Hangzhou was your favourite?

@@TravellingWithCon I visited Hangzhou, Kunming and Beijing. Hangzhou was my favourite yes. Stunning, green old city adjacent to a beautiful lake with the most beautiful tea villages in the surrounding foothills. The area around the Grand Canal is pulsing with life. It is one of my favourite cities in the world actually. Not sure how things are in China post pandemic (I was there in 2018). Suzhou is another wonderful city (according to friends who lived in Shanghai)

@@TravellingWithCon New York is definitely one of the most exciting cities on the planet. And I also like New Orleans. San Francisco is going down the drain due to its homeless problems and Los Angeles is a great place just to drive around all day without any purpose at all. I wouldn´t even call it a city but rather a collection of different neighborhoods without a real center.

Clearly, you display a lamentable personal taste that no one cares about in the slightest; it is YOUR opinion. Fortunately, it is not the opinion of Forbes magazine or The New York Times, which rated Valencia as the best city in the world to live in 2023 and it was also voted likewise. Furthermore, it is the European city with the highest number of Erasmus students wanting to enjoy its climate, gastronomy, beaches, and quality of life. Additionally, it is the city with the highest tourism growth in Spain since before the pandemic. The good thing about freedom is that you can say you don't like my city, and we (who, unlike Madrid and Barcelona, have built our own city with our own resources and not with the money of the whole state) don't like your channel. In fact......im going to do a video about most dissapointed youtube channels i have seen....i will remember yours.
@Altonahh10
@Altonahh10 15 күн бұрын
I think you shouldn´t feel personally offended because when tourists compare their favorite places they rarely mean certain people but rather things to see and do. When you really live in a place that can be totally different. I know places that I really like but I could never imagine living there. And vice versa.
