I remember that guy - as I best recall, he and his ex were in a very contentious divorce and there were allegations of DV - he had his partial custody temporarily suspended after a fight at an exchange and he went nuts on the judge - it is possible that he may have been unfairly treated but the suspension was only temporary and he just needed to keep working the case. Nobody ever took his kids away, as he claimed. Bottom line is that he turned temporary child custody suspension into 20 years in the clink.

Darrell Brooks could own a list of his own, he was so disrespectful throughout the whole trial. One moment comes to mind, where he directed his words to Judge Dorow and said something like “I can’t believe they even let you be a judge.” Another time he had an outburst about how he thought everybody was treating the trial as a joke and that he was fighting for his life and was the only one taking it seriously. He is a headache that will go down in the history of migraines.
@uncledoctor6920
@uncledoctor6920 Жыл бұрын
@Crispy Batman I promise you Judge Dorrow did all of that on purpose. Brookes pulled every trick in the book in an attempt to get himself a mistrial so he could delay his sentencing as long as possible and maybe have more time to work on his defense. The constant interruptions, the claims that he didn't understand the proceedings, the meaningless objections, the time wastes and tangents, the citing of irrelevant case laws and even made-up ones, all of it was to get that mistrial. Only problem is that because Dorrow had the patience of a Saint and audibly kept record of what went on in the courtroom, any possibility of a mistrial was thrown out because the record showed every little thing Brookes tried to weasel his way out of taking responsibility. The end result; the maximum sentence for all 76 charges, six life sentences to be served consecutively, taxpayer money saved because there will not be another trial, and the families and friends of the victims have the closure they need to help in their healing processes. It was an ugly affair, but believe me this was the best possible way this could have gone, and the results show it.

The judge had to give him his legal rights, so the court case wouldn’t be thrown out, so people wouldn’t make him into better than he was, she actually allowed him to represent himself, he was truly represented, she let the world see the truth. Thanks to her my city is at peace as the TRUTH came out that he chose a hard heart and hate, but he wasn’t crazy or anything else some fools would have otherwise claimed and caused chaos over. God let the truth be seen, this is what unrepentant sin does, or in her words, “logically chosen moral depravity.” Derrick Brooks Junior‘s choices were just evil. He was truly well represented. Her patients In letting him be himself made that case against him strong.

White knighting for some women on a bus is not "the right thing", especially considering that nothing physical had occurred up to that point. Those two men learned the hard way that real life isn't a movie where you "do the right thing" and everyone stands up and claps. If you see some guy acting like a schizo on public transit you alert the police, avoid eye contact, and try to ignore him until the police arrive. You don't start shoving him around and escalating the situation like these two Darwin Award winners did.

Because that's their goal all along. It's like why do they keep letting pedophiles back on the street? Cause they know this person is going to get caught doing it again to another kid. Which means he'll have to spend more money on lawyers and everything. That's literally what the legal system is based on, money. They let certain people go because they know it will be a back and forth thing every time which means more money for them. Like why do you think tickets exist? FOR MONEY, the legal system might do good SOME TIMES but most of the time it's only interested in how much money they can get their hands on. And if that means letting them go so they can do it again so they can get more money, then that's what they'll do. Why do you think if people are stalking you or whatever the police won't do a damn thing until its too late, because they can't CHARGE somebody for stalking, letting the stalker murder somebody makes the charges even greater and makes the legal system more money in general. It's all about money, do you think prisons would give a shit about holding criminals if they weren't making money for every single person they have in a cell? Did you know they make money based on how many people they have behind bars, and it's from our tax dollars. So the more people that are behind bars in America the higher our taxes will be cause we're the ones paying for that. Some times that's what they do too, they let people out way sooner than they should because they know that they'll do it again and the sentence will be greater and they do that until the criminal gets life and then boom, they throw a man in a cell for the rest of their life, making permanent money off of that person until they're dead. Why do you think self defense is illegal in most places? Cause if you kill someone in self defense that would take away money from them cause they'd have no one to throw behind bars cause you killed them, and in most cases they'll just arrest you for self defense cause they need to make that money somehow and you just killed the person that they were going to make money off of, so now they'll just take you instead so they can still make that money. The legal system does the right thing some times, but they mostly care about themselves and how much money they can get.

@@fiddlepants5947 Well stated. Some individuals always revert it to racist and discriminatory ideology rather than being held accountable for their actions. They base all their actions as them being targeted because their race, gender or sexual orientation. It’s the oldest trick in the book. It’s just a pathetic excuse for saying hey I’m selfish, entitled, and deserve better and should be able to get away with it because I’m smarter than anyone. That’s the mentality these waste of life have. Death penalty is still necessary but unfortunately ❄️ see it as harsh punishment. Unfortunately, in today’s society, it’s never gonna get any better.
