right? 1800 for a one bedroom ON PRIMROSE... i used to live in the south end of halifax, and a one bedroom in south point was 625 a month. it was quiet. it was safe. it was affordable. now it's none of those things. i'll never vote liberal again.

I mean, a city can only grow as it develops but I do miss the charm of the old Halifax waterfront area.

Great video. Would be great to have your view about the proposed Urgent Planning Changes for Housing Accelerator Fund where many residential areas will be increased to a maximum height of 12 meters from 11 meters. I don't see the urgency as a four story building is a four story building.

The traffic and hills around lower water street are a deal breaker. The Governor is beautiful for that area but expensive. I'm going to the mills next month.

These are all fine and dandy, did the developer's consider low income rentals to combat homelessness, some how I doubt it , what happened to the city planning for ppl. On the lower income scale , it's disturbing to see all this being built only for the well off folks to line the pockets of the city and developers.

Senior housing in prime commuting distance from places of work is not optimal IMO

It's only 5k a months for a 1 bedroom and a den where you will have no way out of the parking garage during rush hour if the parkade exits on to quinpool or robie. If it exits on to the back street thats gonna suck for the houses in close proximity inb regards to increased traffic.

Idk why immigrants and Canadians from out of province continue to move here without researching. No housing here. No used cars here. Utilities are some of the highest in the country. Taxes are highest. 3rd worst traffic in the country. Worse healthcare than other provinces. TOO MANY IMMIGRANTS
@dawuid14912 ай бұрын
@@blade797 This is all your subjective opinion. There are clearly still housing there, expensive but not non-existing as you are implying. Certainly used cars as well. Not sure why you even think taxes are the highest, and everything else just seem like you are trying to paint a overly negative picture about a place that you are trying to deteter people you don't desire from coming - immigrants specifically. Or else you'd said too many people.

This was a really good video Tom, my wife and I look forward to seeing your new videos as they are so helpful. We are thinking of making a move from Alberta to Nova Scotia, or maybe New Brunswick (but, are leaning to Nova Scotia) in approx. 2 years. Your videos on Halifax and different areas and towns is really helpful. It is to my understanding that the winters are normally shorter than Lethbridge Alberta, although you can be hit with some pretty bad storms. It would be helpful if you state what part of the year, even month, you are filming so that we can see what it is like, say in November, or January, etc. Another problem I'm having is when looking at real estate listings in Nova Scotia, they do not state the annual property taxes, where as they do in New Brunswick. Property Taxes play a big factor for me when deciding where to move, I know about the 15% Provincial sales tax, how bad is Property Taxes and is there a way to see these online? Thanks - Richard & Deb
