It would be cool to see more of these, make it a series maybe? Your thoughts on most popular nano fish, larger cichlids like the Geophagus featured in this vid, most popular fish for the planted tank etc. That's sort of how I found your channels. You had a best fish for nano tanks or 5 or 10g tanks ( I can't even remember the title it's been so long😅). But since you guys sell do many fish I'd be very interested to see this list made into a series. ✌️

Geophagus tapajos about $25 each for juveniles in dallas area. 60+ for colored up ones. Absolutely love the furcata and red neon blue eyed rainbows

I'm wanting to put together a simple 29 gallon Asian tank this spring and summer. I have been thinking a cherry barbs, zebra danio and/or honey gourami. But after seeing the rummynose rasbora, I might want to use them, instead of some of the others, if I can find them in the Amarillo area. Thanks for the video.

It would be a fun choice!

Thank you for introducing me to the Rummynose Raporas in your previous video. I have 2 dozen in my 40 breeder with 12 Kuhli Loaches and love it. Can you recommend any algae eaters? (East Asia biotope)
@PrimeTimeAquatics9 ай бұрын
That sounds cool! It won’t be East Asia, but bristlenose plecos, L11A Pleco, or 8-10 otocinclus?
@WeiMingLiang-oc4sx9 ай бұрын
@@PrimeTimeAquatics Otos is a good ideal. I had those before. Thank you

I just looked up L11A pleco. I'm changing my my mind. The whip tail is a great ideal. How many should I get for a 40 breeder? Just one?

I have a planted 29gal with 10 male threadfin rainbows and 7 luminatis rainbows, they are beautiful! I really enjoy my tank of nano rainbows! I also have a 10gal with chili rasboras and cherry shrimp, they really pop against the green of the plants!

Quite some wishlist species here! I have the rummynose rasbora, lovely fish very active and always visible and peaceful with tank mates. The only thing I don't like is the aggression between the males. Lot of nipped fins. Right now I have around 8 males, 10 females in a heavily planted 60 gallon community. Thinking of bumping up the numbers of the females to see if that will help, any experience with that? I also noticed that higher temperatures contribute as well but with the other tankmates I can't go lower than 73.

We haven’t had any issues in our 20 long, but we have maybe 15 males in that tank?

Question 🙋🏻♂️ is it possible to successfully keep Severum and Discuss together in a 120 gallon tank? If so, what is the best way to set things up?
@PrimeTimeAquatics9 ай бұрын
Maybe - the only problem is you won’t be able to plant it because of the severums eating plants.

Danios are insane, rainbow sharks are even cooler. But the danios are also a popular choice for beginners and experts and they have a lot of personalities, I’ve kept guppies but they aren’t as cool as danios, danios communicate to each other more visibly than guppies, they group together and split into one place to another, but these 5 fishes are really cool although they are really hard to find except for the chili r’s, they are really small and I’m scared to get one clogged up in my filter so instead I got danios which are extremely intelligent, hardy, colorful, and bulletproof fish imo it’s a popular choice.

Hmmm now I’m torn between sail fin rainbows and brilliant rasbora for my 20 long 🤔 or should I get a bunch of rice fish? 🤔 😅

@SequoiaElisabeth9 ай бұрын
Every time you speak about your favorite fish, these come up. No worries, they are good choices. As in my blog on LFS, it's all subjective. So, I accept that out the door. Popular and Favorite to me are just about the same. @@PrimeTimeAquatics

480 million goldfish are sold annually and it is the most popular fish in the world. Most aquarists have never heard of any of these species, which means they are not popular. Who knows, maybe your prediction will come true. 😉
