Mace shouldn’t be on here. There’s so many Jedi that were more powerful. Freedom Nadd and Exar Kun before turning, Meetra Surik who came back from being severed from the force to defeat the Sith triumvirate, Revan who defeated malak and tried to stop vitiate, Lord Hoth who led the army of light and sacrificed himself to stop the Sith, Dooku who was regarded as the best lightsaber duelist of his time, satele Shan as grandmaster, Ulic Qel Droma, Cay Quel Droma, and the list goes on.

He is my favorite character in the entire SW no doubt, but no I have to be fair here others are just stronger on this (recent era) list in all around rating imo: Lightsaber skills, mentorship/leadership, force ablities. I am simply completing the list here; although I am not too familiar with no.5 character, I would place him at #5 if it is my list. When KOTOR 2 created a better story with better characters, DK got pissed and jockeyed to get a role writing for SWTOR, where he completely ignored Kreia and KOTOR 2, and nerfed the Exile to a pointless death, including making him a woman. Revan was a punk with no self-control.

From a post on Reddit: "The idea that Mace definitively won the fight is mostly a misquote from the Revenge of the Sith film commentary where George Lucas says Mace "overpowers" Palpatine, but that was just Lucas describing the part where Mace disarms Palpatine, not a declaration that the fight was over as he immediately continues on saying "Palpatine tries to destroy Mace with his force powers.” Then he explicitly states that Palpatine only "pretends to lose power," making it very clear the fight was not conclusive." In my opinion the idea of Palpatine losing any part of that fight simply by being bested doesn't make much sense. Palpatine has been planning and manipulating for decades. He has set things up right down to.the tiniest detail and covered absolutely everything to ensure his rise to UNLIMITED POWER!!!!. Part of that would have been studying all the Jedi who could potentially stick a spanner in the works and coming up with ways to deal with them. He would have thought of a way to counter Mace's Vapaad a long time ago. The idea that this is something he didn't think of just isn't Sheev Palpatine. It makes much more sense (again, in my opinion) for Palpatine to have faked being disarmed so he could make it appear to Anakin that the big bad Jedi Mace was going to murder the weak, unarmed, defenceless old man and gain his sympathy. Which is exactly what ended up happening. Thete is no way that Palpatine would not have been fully prepared for Mace or whichever Jedi came to arrest him and this is something I believe George Lucas got completely wrong.

In the movies even Obi-Wan makes a comment about Anakin being almost as good as Master Yoda with a lightsaber. So if He's almost on par if straight lightsaber duel then it's a coin toss and it would almost make him better with a lightsaber then Mace.

Hard to compare EU Jedi to film Jedi. Sunrider is EU and from the descriptions she seemed to me like she's on a plane of jedi-ness that you don't see in film and tv...like a light side Revan or the Exile. BTW Mace did beat Sid according to Lucas. As a match-up matter, vapaad and shatterpoint are tailor made for it. Mace disarming Sid looked like it might be a manifestation of his shatterpoint power (look it up) And if someone beats somebody it doesn't mean they will beat them 10 out of 10 times -- like real life lol. Circumstances and surroundings matter too.

But well, too bad Luke's Jedi Order was filled with the most OP Jedi in the history. Durron, Mara-Jade, Horn, Katarn, Kam, Jaina Solo-Fel, Jacen Solo. What's crazier than a Jedi master? A Jedi master wielding Sith powers and carrying loads of weapons, roaming around, detroying armies like Doom Guy.

Ehm... no. The top five jedi in the EU are definetly very different ones. No sleight against Nomi, but she is overspecialized in fighting against sith sorcerers and not that great a duelist. Mace is outscaled, and Anakin even more so, by most powerful council members of the NJO. Yoda isn't weak by any standard, but also doesn't surpass the NJO jedi. Top five should be Luke, Jaina, Kyp, Yoda and either the Outlander, Saba, Kyle or Jacen. And thats excluding characters like Satele or Kol (both superior grandmasters to Nomi in many regards) and Cade (most definetly superior to Anakin).

Anakin was the powerful jedi all time. even Obi-wan , Qui-gun and Luke Skywalker was the most powerful jedi all time. Qui-gun discovered ghost jedi , Luke can make hologramic vision of himself another place

Mace did not defeat Sidious. He knew Anakin was close enough to see what was happening and his 'defeat' was just to give Anakin the final push to the Dark Side. And creating a new lightsaber technique? Impressive, but blocking off the Force in a Sith is far more powerful. She would've made it impossible to use force lightning or sense Anakin, allowing her to defeat Sidious once and for all. (I know not the character, but if the info on her is correct, then she will succeed where Yoda and Mace would-and did-fail.)

Bro I think Sunrider was the most powerful, if you can sever force abilities PERMANENTLY which isn't seen in the movies then you're probably the most powerful.
