Can we please get like a two hour long video of Taran just going over guns and how cool they are because that would be pretty rad

The fact that Taran knows all those quotes verbatim tells me he's a total movie geek 😆. I love that, partially because I'm also one of those guys. Having these two in the same room created some epic content!

"The Way of the Gun" is should be put in the conversation as the top gun handling movie ever. Collateral with Tom Cruise is also good until the end. Then also "Act of Valor" with real Navy Seals doing the gun handling was top notch.

A french action movie 1976 with Yves Montand called "Police Python 357" were he as police officer had a 4 inch Python. And that was quite strange because the Manurhin MR 73 already existed as french police revolver that time.

What Taran says about ''Heat'' is true, Michael Mann literally made a remake of his failed tv-pilot ''L.A. Takedown''. And it's pretty much the same movie, only ''Heat'' has way better acting, action and budget, while ''L.A. Takedown'' is very low-budget, made for 80's tv and with no name actors.

I have not read all the comments below- so I apologize if I'm repeating= Back in 'those old days of Hollywood' the Property master was "probably" in charge of the weapons. Robert 'Bobby' Viscigulia Sr.was both Sam Peckinpah and Steve McQueens preferred Prop man and he is listed as such on 'THE GETAWAY'. Sometimes there are issues about how actors handle the weapons. So that may explain the switching of the Colts.

I always thought that scene was used in Magnum to compete with Miami Vice's edgier content but I looked it up and the Magnum episode was from 1982, two years before Miami Vice was even created. Hmm, maybe I thought Miami Vice ripped off the scene, my memory ain't so good anymore hah.

The TV show was some chrome plated thing Don Johnson had. And it was one million an episode don't forget. On NBC. Blow forty grand on a custom gun for two rakes?! PFFTTT... Who cares?! Cover the budget and make some money back. THAT is Hollywood baby! And he is pissed about two shower sex scenes and not enough gun glam time. Hmm... Dude should think about his life!!! JK, OK?! :)
