Summer BB's NP animation is so cool that it made me go from "Yeah, I'll throw some quartz" to "Yeah, I'll spend however fkn much I need to get her". It's even cooler when you realize it was her original NP design for CCC before they got too close to running out of budget.

Summer BB has even more backstory than you think, Lovecraft references aside, it's a scrapped animation that was supposed to be BB's Noble Phantasm in Fate Extra CCC until they realized it would be too expensive. What's more the whole attack weaponize the Authorities she gained by being fused with the essences of Earth Goddesses by creating an area (the Crater) and erasing (crushing) the existance of everything within it, bringing it back to a primordial state. So yeah, scary stuff.

Maybe it's simple for the over the top Noble Phantasms of this past year, or it doesn't count because technicaly you couldn't use it in your party until a week after new year, but No Second Strike for Old Li is... wow. A stomp that breaks everything surrounding the enemy, just to hit you with a single strike that... if you're not dead already, you're gonna die a few seconds later without a second hit. Simple, yet devastating.

BB yeah for sure looks good. bradamante obviously is good it is very unique animation in fgo. asagamis does look intense. Im not sure about liangyu's and beni-enma's is just sub-par tbh. I liked okita alters np cuz its simple has a black beam emanating light that erases the nasuverse around her. It just has good lighting which is visually appealing and its not just her 2D model but also close up animation like bradamante, sherlock or abigail.

My friend once suggested me to watch Kara no Kyoukai, because of Kara no Kyoukai event on FGO. The only thing he told me about the show was that somebody blows up a bridge. I didn't think much of it, because I thought it he meant someone just blowing up a small bridge that you walk on with bombs. Then my friend told me that the Kara no Kyoukai event got a re-run on jp( I started FGO in between the Valentine's Day event and had no time to get Ryougi Shiki's last ascesion material or np5 her) and released a new character as well. I looked up Fujino's np animation and was blow away that SHE LITERALLY BLOWS UP A STEEL BRIGDE WITH HER PSYCHIC POWERS.

Yesss I definitely agree on the #4 pick here! Even though I don't have her myself. I definitely love how strong Qin Liangyu's NP buffs feel (same for Houzouin) there's something about those buff type NP power ups that just make you feel the battle is about to become much more one sided! I get why Benienma is on here, she's actually the other servant I had on this list besides Fujino and I have to say I never get tired of seeing her NP, I think it's great. Fujino's is pretty solid although a bit heart breaking. A few others I'd like to mention are Suzuka Gozen's NP (it reminds me of Byakuya's Bankai from Bleach) with all those swords. Moriarty with that shot of him in the air he looks like the Dark Knight and and a more obv pick being Proto Arthur's NP for the seals being unleashed on Excalibur. Nice Top 5! Nice to see vids like this from you again!

I think Summer BB it's not a reference to Nyarlathoteph, instead, it's a reference of one of the plot points of Heaven's Feel rute of the original FSN. Spoilers ahead....Matou Zouken have her modified to make her a secondary grial, much like Irisviel, but the inerent course of the Fuyuki Grial, transforms her into a Shadow that course everyting it touchs and corrupts servants.

The NP as a whole is a homage to Dark Sakura in HF (plus crushing the enemies similar to DS crushing Zouken's bugs). However the links to Nyarlathotep in the FGO version are pretty explicit. The triple burning eyes are a directly taken from Lovecraft's "The Haunter of the Dark".

Actually about Summer BB, Fun fact the Noble Phantasm is based on the original version of Cursed Cutting Crater from Fate/Extra CCC (The one where the opponent gets wrapped in wierd black hands and then she blows it) It would instead have had a giant dark sakura lifting up the ground the enemy was on and crushing it, but they couldnt do it due to budget constraints, so this noble phantasm was basically showing off what it would have been like!
