The frog sounds are amazing in the background - definitely keep them there for part 2! My son's Cope's Gray Tree Frogs are only just starting to get to the size that one, maybe two, are calling, and I can't wait for them to start drowning out the sound of feeder crickets at night. little trick to breeding any difficult species...look up the weather patterns for its country of origin, temp, humidity, rainy seasons, dry season, and breading times. Hence if your frog lives in an arid area where its say dry for most of the year,, high temps, low humidity, and little rain, but in march every year they have flash floods, with months of rains and low temps, during this time is when they breed...you would want to mimic this in your tank, introduce male to female only when they would in nature cross paths and breed, follow husbandry of the particular species, do they mate for life, do they typically stay iin groups, or are they loners that only find each other to breed, etc..if you mimic this u will have far greater success in difficult breeds and breeds not typically in the domestic trade market. ..i learned this trick from a herpetologist that ran a reptile sanctuary in Ontario Canada ..he had difficulty breeding his Burmese ..so he introduced a rainy season, which they typically in nature breed after..sure enough thats what hes been applying to his programs to all his projects with great success

Always a treat when you highlight amphibians. Other than the few diurnal species most frogs and even more so toads would be considered boring by most. They sleep all day (though they will eat by day if the opportunity presents itself and many will learn to accept food directly from you) and often hide even during part of the night. Nonetheless I find them to be fascinating creatures and they've usually made up the majority of my menagerie.

I started with some tinct cobalts that were very bold from day one. If I'm within sight, at least one of them is standing as close as possible to the glass staring at me. I'm the food man of course but still, no fear. A few months ago I picked up a couple orange terribilis. They are young but they are also very shy. They both stay in their coconut hides, only coming out to eat. And even then sometimes it's like the will suddenly notice me looking at them and run away. I think/hope they will get braver as they mature, they are such pretty little critters!
