It‘s funny how people claim there aren‘t enough VR games and still there are games on top 5 lists that I never even heard about (Evasion).

Evasion had the bad luck people thinking it would be something different ,something less arcady , so it did not get much traction at launch. But for what it is ,and the price nowadays, its a must own ,if you like coop. Best 2p player fast paced game. Farpoint is good yo but i dont like how the 2p campaign isnt the main game

The AIM controller is what made me actually give Doom VFR a second chance, I didn't care for it at all with the DualShock or Moves. But with the AIM, it makes this game significantly better (yes, even with the dangling arm lol)

Unfortunately the hand on the face ruined Doom VFR(with the AIM) for me. The reason DW2 and Evasion made it in over Doom and AZS (for AIM games) is because they are both good and dont have issues that would ruin the game for some people like the face hand or game breaking bugs(asz) did. It was a tough decision but went with practicality here. Thanks for the feedback Duran, I always value your opinion :D

My biggest gripe about AIM implementation in VFR is that there is no option to play left handed, which means your VR right arm is all the way to the left overlapping with the grenade launcher. I wish they had given arm switching option and simply a grenade launcher to your weapons to get rid of the dangling arm.

@@plukke_b2048 The aim reaction when strafing is "only" visual. It does not affect the precision of the aim controller. Play and shoot hip style. Do not look at your gun to shoot, focus on your target and you will see that the aim controller is very precise :))

For Single-player: 1. Doom VRF 2. Farpoint 3. Unearthing Mars 2 4. Borderlands 2 5. Arizona Sunshine 6. Evasion 7. DWVR Others are kind of questionable how much they really need the Aim, but those are kind of the 7 good ones where the Aim is pretty much the definitive way to experience them. (Unearthing Mars 2 is underrated IMO).

@@WithoutParole To each his own, then. ;) I think my preference is for analog movement whenever possible, especially for turning. I guess it's another immersion-vs-control question. In general that's why I love pointer controls so much, since they can do both (when done right) - I can move my hand faster and more accurately than a mouse or analog stick. I usually like DW2 with the Aim, though, just as you list it here. I can't really justify it as I don't know why it ought to be better than holding 2 guns in a game where all you do is point and shoot with controllers. I also like Crisis Vrigade with the Aim too even though (again) can't justify it from a playability standpoint. You sure were right NOT to use it in Brookhaven! And with two hands you can knife your way to victory with almost any enemies that come up to you! :P

Good top 5 , but in my opinion Dick wilde can play better with the Move controllers, especially when many opponents come. For me, 5th place would be Doom VfR or Honor & Duty D Day. Blood & Truth is also a lot of fun with the Aim Controller, even if you can only play the challenges.

Farpoint is one of my personal top 5 if not top 3 games. As much as I wanted to make it #1, Firewall deserves credit for being the first huge modern MP shooter, and still doesnt have any competition.

Operation warcade used to be a solid honorable mention b4 they effed up the sound. I just reached out to them like 3 days ago and they claim they fixed the sound issue a long time ago, but mine sure isnt fixed, even with a delete, data and all, and re download.

This was the direct email response i got from them a few days ago.....”Operation Warcade was initially released without 3D sound. Then we made a general improvement to the game and included 3D sound and there was indeed a problem with various sounds, especially with the sound of the machine gun. But that problem was solved a long time ago with a path update. Now the sound of the machine gun doesn't sound as loud as in the first version but it sounds good and in 3D (you can notice where the machine gun is while you shoot if you close your eyes). Are you sure you don't have any pending updates? Could you describe in more detail what problem you have with the audio?.” I explained, heard nothing.... 😢

Nice list, tho id put as a personal opinion borderlands in first place just because is a lenghty game openworld compared to the rest borderlands has way more content. To me vr was being disapointinf because i got tired of experiences or short term games then skyrim and borderlands and nomansky show up now those are games. I dont play firewell i tried the trial because 1 personaly dont like that gamemode id rather shoot die respawn in a team deathmatch. But those are just personal opinions. Still good list.

Evasion is probably the biggest PSVR game that I wanted to like as it has a lot of great ideas, but for me it's crippled by some design choices. Ironically "evade" is the worst thing it's good at because you sidestep SO slow!!! You can't maneuver very well at all, and in some places the enemies are so tanky and inflict bullet-hell that the difficulty spikes at random. :( I love the cool ideas but that small thing (and general balancing issues) mess it up. I LOVE Dick Wilde 2. My list though would prolly be Doom VFR, Farpoint, Firewall, Borderlands 2, and then Unearthing Mars 2 -- taking note that these are the ones that pretty much need the Aim because of the sticks.

I had trouble with it before it was patched, after patched, and right before making this video because, all of these were revisited before this video for at least 2-3 hours. despite it having a bunch of janky issues, the biggest offender is the invisible cage that will hold you in one spot and unable to progress or move. Yes, I tried everything. Did you play sp or mp?

We hear that occasionally. Either the game hooks you or it doesn't - and I'm sure when something better comes along we'll all jump ship. But in the meantime, we're all addicted. I can't say I've run into teams that *always* sit in the laptop room, but luckily when we do encounter that situation, it's really easy to take down predictable opponents. :D

There's a single player option but it gets stale fast. It's basically just training to learn the maps and practice for the multiplayer mode. In other words, I wouldn't buy it unless you're planning on playing online.

Dick wilde 2 is an odd choice, as it's better with the moves for dual wielding. I think D-Day should have that spot. I also think beat blaster is hella fun with the aim.

So... you guys found a way to fix the Aim's drifting tendencies? Pretty much stopped using it since it starts drifting around every couple minutes. Takes me out of immersion hard everytime.

For me the AIM only drifts when I use Rest Mode on my PS4. The simple solution to that is either power off your PS4 when you're done or reset your console before playing and PSVR game. That's not the only thing that can cause drift though. Sometimes a camera adjustment helps (higher is better), making sure the AIM is fully charged, keeping other bluetooth devices away from your play space, etc. But you should be able to find a solution that works for you - because most of us don't experience drift at all. In terms of this list, it's mainly the gunplay. For me personally, it's one of my favorite games ever, I love the story and coop.

PSVR Underground as for myself, I was really bothered by the fact that enemies never attack from behind. As soon as they are behind you, they stop their attack and try to get back in line of your sight. The story was nice, but nothing too special, I would‘ve liked more „real“ interactions. @@PSVRUNDERGROUND Don't get me wrong, I love Farpoint (but not for it's story). I also don't critique the writer, there were certain constraints he had to work in, i'm sure. Or maybe I was spoiled, I was playing RE7 before farpoint.. The whole thing scanning holograms and than listening to sometimes quite long generic unengaging yadda yadda was just not my thing and in my other playthroughs (I play it like once a month from start to finish) I just went past them.

@@VincentFischer well, when you talk about April fools n stuff you can see how I got you wrong lol. All good dude. I mean, Resi 7 had an awesome story too but told in flat cinema cutscenes is why I appreciated the way Farpoint handled the storytelling.

Awesome game, but with the AIM I cant stand the left hand permanently stuck to the face, and most people prefer it with the DS4. I'm sure it will make another list at some point, I've been a Doom fan since day 1 :D

AZS was supposed to be on this list, but it's still janky and buggy, dick Wilde and Evasion had their issues fixed on the first patch. Farpoint gunplay feels so good.
