4 years ago-ish i bought the Polaris IQ with Aqualink for $1600. It worked for 2.5 seasons and died. I spent $900 to repair trying to get a few more years. After the $900, i threw it in the pool and had the same issue. So last season i went without and just vacuumed the old fashioned way which really stinks. I may try this Dolphin on your recommendation. Thank you!

Great line-up, Justin. We spent most of last year researching pool robots and ultimately chose the Dolphin Premier based on your recommendation from the 2022 video. We've been using it since October and it's been as bulletproof and efficient as you stated in your videos. It's basically a "throw it in the pool and forget it" experience, and cleaning the filters afterward is as simple as it gets. The hardest part was finding a resource with the lowest price, but we were fortunate to find an online location that had it for $100 less than Amazon at the time, so I felt justified in pulling the trigger. Thanks for your videos. They are concise, informative, and amazingly effective. You really should consider branching out into reviewing other pool-related tools/accessories/equipment and broaden the content of your channel.

I got the Premier last Summer and loved it from the beginning. We aren't opening the pool until tomorrow, but for the first time ever all the dirt is already out of the pool. I started with the leaf bag and ran that a couple of time to pick up the large debris. Followed with a few pases with the fine mesh filters to get the next size particles .Today finished up with the super fine corrugated filters . It was expensive but a worthwhile expense.

We bought the Dolphin Premier (July 2023). I do like the 3 different options for the filter bags/ Fine filter. What they dont tell you is when you use the bag, you have to keep the screen in. and When you use the fine filter and ultra fine filter you have to unscrew the hard plastic liner. that seemed odd to me. (I paid $1247-on sale) Orig price $1747. I thought I was getting the 2023 option, now after watching this video, it seems it is the 2022 version. There are some places the Dolphin premier wont go in my pool (in the deep end). So the jury is still out for me on this Dolphin Premier. When I called Maytronics (after 30 min wait) they told me it was a better version of the Dolphin commander which I had until it broke in July 2023. I have seen this rated # 1 in a few different videos so thats why we purchased it. Lets hope it is as good as it is rated. NJ here.

Yes, these are the top tier models I’ve tested! It’s definitely worth the upgrade. The “arms” are Maytronics Dual Stabilizer that helps the unit clean the waterline (a feature not found on the CC). Combine that with the 3 year warranty, Leaf Bag, Multi-Media, and more, you get a lot more features and value in the Dolphin Premier! The Leaf Bag is inserted at the bottom of the unit! We are having a new pool installed and will go with the Quantum again. The units with multiple filters or bottom-style filters are a pain. The Quantum leaves very little work for you to do and the filter is by far(and I mean a long shot) the best to deal with and clean. It picks up leaves and sticks to fine particles. Many times I emptied full baskets of leaves. It was truly a workhorse and we will get it for our new pool. Beware of the bottom style bags and filters where you have to take the bottom of the robot apart (thank me later), you will hate it. No way would I use the other two "high-end" models over the Quantum.

Hi Justin- hoping you can help me out. I have an Above Ground pool (about 25 feet, all circular pool) My parents have an Inground pool and I borrow their Dolphin Nautilus CC plus a few times each summer. it works great, but I'm ready to invest in my own so I can clean on a regular basis. I'm very torn between the Dolphin Escape and Cayman. I don't really need a Timer, because I plan to take the vaccum out each time to help it last longer. I also have an open deck, so the battery supply can't stay outside when it rains anyway, sot he timer feature isn't really necessary. I like the fact that the Cayman can climb walls. However, I've read before that Pool cleaners could tear the walls of an above ground pool because the liner isn't on as hard of a surface as an inground pool...so do I even want a pool cleaner that can climb walls in my Above ground pool? I just don't want to to get something that could cause damage. Amazon has both products right now and it's only an 80 dollar difference from what I see. Thoughts?

How does the Dolphin DX4 compare to Sigma and Premier? I don’t need app access as I don’t plan ti leave the robot in the pool. Is the difference just the commercial motor and one addt’l yr warranty?
@ThePoolNerd
@ThePoolNerd Жыл бұрын
The DX4 will be missing the Ultra-Fine Filter, Leaf Bag (exclusive to Premier), larger commercial motors (filters an additional 500 GPH), 1 year additional warranty, MediaAlert (Full Filter Indicator), and app (Sigma only). The ultrafine filters and/or a leaf bag are a necessity in my opinion. Once you factor in extra warranty, filters, and other added features, I would suggest going with the Premier or Sigma over any other cleaner. The DX4 is still a great unit, but the lack of the ultrafine filters, smaller motors, and shorter warranty really set it back when comparing the value of the other 2 cleaners. Even if you don't need the app, the better performance and additional features are well worth the extra money. Dolphin Premier - amzn.to/3i4IcCk Dolphin Sigma - amzn.to/3q56mky Dolphin DX4 - amzn.to/3pqzfdD If you were looking more so on a budget, the Cayman is a fantastic choice. It will have nearly all the same features as the DX4, same warranty, same motors, and same programmable power supply for significantly less. Dolphin Cayman - amzn.to/3EX95Ee Hope that can help! All are great options!

The only other unit with the same commercial grade motors is going to be the Dolphin Sigma, which is apart of their ProLine. It actually has an extra motor (3 motors) to power the dual split brushes. It also will have the app to control it! The main thing with the app, is that it simply doesn’t add much of anything, and it takes away from controlling it directly on the power supply. So essentially, it just moved the control from the power supply to a smartphone app. While the Sigma has the advanced scheduling (where you program it for what day you want to run and what time), not all robots have the same app features and it’s relatively hidden by Maytronics. Both are fantastic units though, especially with the longer 3 year warranty! We have continued to use the Premier and Sigma in our pool without any issues whatsoever! Absolutely love them!

The quantum looks terrible at cleaning the Waterline. At 02:36 you can clearly see, that the brush does not function properly and does not spin because the lack of sucking pressure. I wanted to buy it, but this video shows that it does not work properly.
