I have had a Thermador Pro Grande for 18 years with just one small repair. I just purchased a Harmony Pro because the Grande sticks out so far. The simmer burners are so great. It's a wonderful brand.

Thermador's problem, the middle of the pan is not hot at all when you turn all the way up for more heat.

Closed burner, not as high heat and spread of heat as open burner like bluestar

Don’t know how high and spread out a home cook needs their flames but it’s plenty good for me. Also, I LOVE how LOW the flame goes. I easily melt chocolate without a double boiler and very little babysitting on my Thermador Pro Range.

Also, this range does not come with a "self clean" feature.... although, i did purchase the 36'' myself, its waiting to be installed
