Didi, I wanted to say something. I have very dry skin (face and body) and I love to use something like a hydrating toner at the very beginning of my skin care routine before I apply anything else. But I don't have the budget to purchase good quality toners such as isntree, rovectin etc. And even cheap hyaluronic acid serums. So I started using glycerin instead. I take like few drops of glycerin on my palm and then mix it with some water and rub my hands together and then I apply it on my skin as if it's a toner. And I'm telling you, it immediately hydrates my skin. It kinda like sinks right in and plumps up my skin. Ik using glycerin separately isn't compulsory as it is already in many skincare products we use such as moisturizers. But I swear, using a glycerin separately before applying moisture cream makes a huge difference in my skin hydration. I feel like when I use it my skin remains hydrated the ENTIRE day whereas if I only use moisturiser it sometimes absorbs completely and my skin doesn't feel as hydrated as the beginning of the day when I did my skincare. Plus I've heard that glycerin is even better than hyaluronic acid since it sinks into way deeper levels of skin. I saw Dr Sheeren Idris saying this in one of her videos about glycerin. So yeah, I've been using glycerin like this for about past 5 or 6 months, I use it on my face as well as body. If I use glycerin directly on my face it is harder to spread since it's sticky plus it feels warm so I'm afraid it might irritate. So I always take a bit of glycerin with a bit more water ( for instance 5 drops of water for 3 drops of glycerin) and apply it on my skin. Then I immediately top it of with a moisturizer so that the humectant doesn't evaporate. So, my question is, what do you think about this? Is it okay that I'm doing this or should I stop?

I too have very dry skin. I use glycerin+rose water mixture, it is very hydrating and u can no longer feel warm when using it

Can you help me out a bit because i have a doubt,Can niacinamide cause purging? I recently bought minimalist 5% niacinamide and tiny bumps are appearing on my face,so im a little concerned wether its purging or some allergic reaction. Please stop using it. When I first started skincare (my skin was mostly clear and purging happens only in places where you are prone to getting pimples )my first skincare product was minamalist 5 % naicinamide solution. I thought its normal to purge while using naicinamide so I continued using it for 2 months . My skin just got worse and worse I got many pimples on my forehead (I never get pimples on my forehead) and its been 1 year and I'm still suffering from using it. It should not cause you any purging its most likely an allergic reaction

I also bought this serum few years back and the same thing happened to me......I have a few scars but no texture but when I started using that serum I got texture that left more scars. Wouldn't recommend if you are getting bumps with that.

You can use Melaglow, it has 4% niacianamide, make sure you apply sunscreen

Yes please don't use face wipes try washing face and apply sunscreen as this is summer it's is ok to skip moisturizer in the day time but use moisturizer in the night as the skin rejuvenates in the night time
