Cerave SA Smoothing Cream worked for me very fast. It was quite amazing. It's very thick but it wasn't a problem. It also did wonders for non-affected skin around it.

Thanks for the CeraVe psoriasis suggestion. Marketing is so confusing. I would have never considered that option, but based on the ingredients, it's got potential for many skin types and situations.

I used to have KP on my chest and on my arms. One day it just showed up out of nowhere. I was told that it would never go away, but that I could use lotions or RX. I did my own research and found out that taking fish oil in liquid form might help. I took a teaspoon of good-quality fish oil for about 6 months or so every day. I'm happy to say that my Kp cleared up and has not come back since. It's been about 7 years.

Great video. You always do such a great job of breaking down hard to comprehend chemicals. I've had KP my entire adult life and have scarring from scratching/itching on my arms. A video to address this would be amazing!! I've used Amlactin and Eucerine often, but do not like the oily residue it leaves on my skin. I will pony up and try the glytone. Thank you for all you do.

As a nearly life-long kp'er THIS IS THE ONE THING THAT HAS WORKED AMAZINGLY for me. Atrac-Tain Cream is a moisturizing cream that contains urea and alpha hydroxy acid (AHA). 10% urea and 4% AHA. It's seriously magic. I can put it on every day for as little as TWO NIGHTS and my skin is SIGNIFICANTLY smoother. You can still see spots on the skin, but I haven't felt my arms that smooth since I was a kid.

i’ve been using the ordinary’s glycolic acid on my body, and i’ve been using face washes with salicylic acid that i didn’t like for my face on my body. i just rub the glycolic acid on like a lotion and then put a lotion on top. it’s cheap and easy to use.

Hi everyone, First, thank you so much for the great content in this video Doctor ! I'm 31 and I've been struggling with this since childhood but just kind of resignated myself. Now there is hope ! I just placed an order for Cerave lotion and body wash + AmLactin lotion. Does anyone can relate their experience on how much progress they got from using these products and also how long it took for them to notice a difference. Of course, I am aware that it will be different from one individual to another but I am just curious and would like to have some sort of rough timeline in mind so that I can know if I should persevere or quit after the first bottles if I don't see any improvement. Sorry for the long blabla, I am feeling excited about this and I know that here people can relate to each other. Cheers from France

Thank you so much for this! Your channel is the most informative I've found! I wondered if you would consider doing a video on reducing stretch marks and a routine using OTC products? I wasn't sure if using a chemical exfoliant body wash, as you talked about in this video, followed by a retinol body lotion would be a good combo. Expensive office procedures aren't an option right now so I've been trying to create an aggressive body routine for my deep stretch marks, based on what you've said certain ingredients can do for the face. If you have any suggestions for a good body routine, I would definitely listen! :) Thank you for sharing your knowledge!

I love people always telling me not to pick my skin and how I am scaring my skin... I am like.. It is not scaring! My skin is blotty! Like Tinus Capulis and my hair bulbs are gigantic, get inflamed, and have giant yellowish hair bulbs and sheaths! My hair started turning grey early in life, and at 42, I am almost completely grey. I never had any acne and the problems started at 35 years if age. I went to many dermatologist.. Everytime they say all results are normal... Gram negative this and that.. Give me a bunch if chemicals to wash with.. Always saying its acne,( except at the VA.. They said I had hair dysplasia and cancer and took a huge chunk of skin out if me.When I said how did tgey know it was cancer, they said they didn't, and that the cell was dysplasia.) I said... So your guessing... I think I have little white minilla cyst or keratin. The Keto 1% shampoo seems to help, but I wish I could get a real answer. 15 years later, 10's of thousands of dollars, and I still get inflamed bumps that DO NOT HEAL unless I pull out all the hair plugs.. Which are many and seem to clump together.. Anyway... Now I am a internet doctor on my own cause I have given up, and am ashamed of my face and body.. Nothing worae then being called a drug addict or meth head because people are just .. Ignorant.. So... I now disassociate myself from the world... Yup, it has affected my self esteem.. Between doctors who do not listen and just go by protocol, always having to go to internal medicine, get another referral, only to get another guessing person in a lab coat... I do not make the money they make, and if I guessed at anything in my career field without knowing for certain, aka diagnostic of airplanes as I am a jet mechanic, I would go to jail if I just guessed wasting money and gambling lives, safety, ect... And I am paid a fraction of what all these doctors and dentist are paid.. Anyway.. Rants of unsatisfactory experiences seem to be a part of my life these days, but for this video, I do appreciate it and thank you always.

Bro I had keratosis as bad as anyone thousands of itchy bumps all over my body. Finally after decades of itching and bad looking skin I read a comment on youtube that you could pick the bumps out with your fingernail. I had to squeeze the heck out of some of the clogged pours that had been there for decades to make the solid hard ball of oil come out. After 2 years now of squeezing and picking in the shower. They are pretty much all gone. And no more itch at all. That's what was causing my whole body to itch for 4 decades. Now the bumps always try to come back bit they will never be more than a tiny one that can easily come off in the shower with a wash cloth. My skin is now smooth as a babys butt. Where before it was rough like chicken skin. Hope that helps pick the bumps out one at a time eventually after 2years of picking the entir problem is reduced to 95%. They always try and come back every week or month so maintaining wash cloth ect is important and you will always have to pick and squeeze certain new ones that form before they can bekept at bay with just a wash cloth ib the shower...hope that helps

I get bumpy skin only in winter, when my skin comes in contact with multiple layers of synthetic fabric. I get it on my upper arms, buttcheeks and legs. Not using body lotion helps with the formation of these bumps. So it's some kind of natural oil as soon as I come out of the shower and when my skin is dry, a body lotion.

I have suffered with this all my life on my arms and legs terribly was mis diagnosed as other things for years and years I recommend exfoliating regularly in the shower using a sea salt Scrub and cerave cleanser and moisturiser:) its much better ! Also keeping shaved can help even your arms :) I find when I let my hair grow out it worsens! Keep moisturised! Use moisturiser with urea too! Another tip I drench myself in almond oil after my shower whilst my skin is still damp. 👌
