This X2 unit looks awesome. Right now I'm pretty much restricted to brewing in the spring maybe early summer because I brew in the basement. It isn't heated or cooled. With this unit I could extend my brew season. Love the professional look. It has all the things wanted and more for a home brewer. The sturdiness, yeast collection, pressure fermenting and the lid is a piece of well thought of machinery. It is everything and more what you would need to ferment like a pro. The X2 would provide home brewers like myself, the option to brew all year. The accessories are tremendous by themselves. BrewBuilt definitely thought of everything when designing and building this fermenter. Someday soon I will get one. Thanks

This will really be nice in the summer when it is 110F in Central Oregon! In the past on the coast in the basement then ice bath worked although is required frequent monitoring.

Will the glycol jacket be able to adequately cool 5.5-6 gallons of beer in the 14 gallon jacketed X2?

I got mine yesterday. Cleaning it up tomorrow. Interested the instructions just call for PBW and no passivation. I always thought passivation wasn't necessary on small scale brewing equipment.

How far down (gallon mark) does the glycol jacket cover on the 7 and 14 gal tanks?

Just received my BrewBuilt X2 Uni, Jacketed Conical: What connectors are recommended for the TC 1.5" glycol jacket ports? I would like a quick disconnect self sealing coupler . Is there a 1.5" TC to NPT paired with a male threaded NPT quick disconnect socket? Maybe something similar to the GrainFather Conical fermenter cooling connections. I personnally disconnect my glycol lines after every batch. I brew in the kitchen and ferment in a different room. Side note to those wondering: It does seem pretty well built. The welds are very nice on the inside, but it is not near perfection like Spike Brewing welds.

Love how they stepping into the jacket for homebrewers. Only downfall which is an ehh for me is if I want to brew a 6 gallon batch in a 14 gallon fermenter, the jacket is then useless being up that high. Wish they can figure out how to jacket the cone...

Great idea, poor execution. Not been able to get it to hold pressure reliably despite reviewing all the support info and trying several approaches. Would not recommend on this basis.
