Agreed: coming from Houston, over development, traffic jams, over technology, etc.. I came to appreciate Belize as being undeveloped, under populated, having many natural resources as less pollution environment, the pioneer spirit is alive and well in Belize. Basically as many parts of the USA were 100 years ago.

I’m not a big fan of the heat or bug situation 😑 but I love the laid back lifestyle. Where would you recommend a first timer who wants to be close to town, beach , restaurants markets , prefer a 5star hotel with a gym .. does such a place even exist in Belize? Thanks 😊 in advance

@Chisca22 I would say Caye Caulker or Ambergis Caye. There is a margaritaville resort there with everything you mentioned. Also Placencia is great for a getaway....😁😁
