You can use baking soda to neutralize the acid. Sprinkle it on the roof below the fins you are cleaning. Also if you have two people you can have someone by the tires and the second person pull the pin and the person by the tires should hear the brakes engage. Do that to both sides.

Great tips! Wheel maintenance & seals are definitely top on our list! We also do the A/C’s twice a year, & condition our slide out seals every 3 months.

Hi new friend. Have clicked all your buttons and glad to be along for the adventure. We are new to RVing and have so much to learn. Thank you for sharing with us. We are so eager to learn from folks like you who are willing to share. Have not been on the roof at all. But you are correct, we need to get up there and check things out. Never thought about the brakes needing 12v. Had no idea. Thanks for sharing and walking us through! We have some videos you may enjoy. Hope you can check them out.

Thanks for all those important reminders. By the way we are thinking about purchasing that exact model of Reflection. Just wondering what your towing it with. Thanks, Lisa from Michigan

Fantastic maintenance tips! So simple but remarkably critical inspection points. Thank you for running through the whole process for each one. It's a little embarrassing that I haven't done these yet, adding these to the top of the list. Your video probably just saved me a ton of repair bills. Great job!

I recommend connecting the breakaway brake cable to something more permanent on the tow vehicle. If the hitch comes away from the tow vehicle that break system will do nothing for you

What are you talking about? It's connected to the hitch receiver which is firmly connected to the truck. It exactly how it should be done.

@@bobcloughjr I'm talking about the travel trailer that I saw come off on i25 here in colorado. It wasn't the ball or insert. The hitch bolt pulled out and it started to sway until it pulled completely off the truck. Class 3 with a 24 ft. It just happened. Had the brake cable been attached to the bumper or a license plate bolt it would have engaged the brakes. Unfortunately it was connected to the chain mount and so didn't.
