From what I've read the two colors bass can see well are red, and green. I'm sure they can see more than that (but probably less vibrant compared to what we see) but from the studies I've seen bass seemed to notice objects (like food) quickest. They also ate more overall of the red, and green food than any other color. I don't know what detail they went into but my impression was they dyed some fish food multiple colors, feed the bass than watched as they ate, and recorded which food was ate first, and what % of food they ate of each color. I don't remember what color it was but there was one which they basically ignored completely be it couldn't see or what.

Great list, and I can't argue with it. I would add the chatterbait and the stick worm as honorable mentions. I know you mentioned the chatterbait at the end and how it is kind of interchangeable with the spinnerbait. The stick bait, dropped on/around beds also gets 'em going...although it gets 'em going all year round.

Having fished multiple s in different sizes and colors, kzbin.infoUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 this is by far my favorite. One thing to be aware of is the sided willow blade. One side is silver and the other is the green/orange shown. This is not bad, just unconventional. In terms of fishing, I have found the lure works just fine without a tail like a craw or shad. That addition is up to you. Also, the hook part where you attach the swivel snap or tie the line is a problem on baits these days, since it's able to slide up and down. However this lure seems to be tight enough that that doesn't happen often, and you can solve it by putting a thin slice of medical tube over the hook before attaching the line. Like others have said, it's really magic on a good windy day.
