Do you ever think about the best and worst lures you've used? In today's KZbin viDEBO I'll discuss the lures that I had success with and the lures that weren't as successful. I realize some lures may require more time on the water to gain confidence. However, I'll discuss my reasoning and why each lure ended up on the list that it did!
COMMENT BELOW and let me know what your TOP 5 spring lures are!

Hey, Debo's! Hillers and I tore em up on the Sexy Shad squarebill crankbait and the down sized spinnerbait with white and silver skirts. 3.5 Havoc silver specked paddle tail trailer dyed Chartreuse on the tail with Spike it! Garlic flavor. Caught 26 largemouth bass in 4 hrs. Hillers couldn't believe how many bass were in this over sized Ditch. He's a believer NOW! Caught One on 8 inch Green Pumpkin Senko. Started using a big bait to catch my PB this year. All your info from last year is paying off in INDIANA. Keep up the great video's Debo's. Shawn

Thanks for the tips man. I grew up fishing tiny farm ponds so now that I’m older and don’t have access to a lot of places like that I’m really having to almost “re-learn” how to fish but really I’m just learning how to use all these different techniques and lures I didn’t use growing up so your videos have helped me with that a lot! I’m going out tomorrow and have 4 of your top 5 tied on. Can’t wait to get out.

Wow! I’m glad I found your channel! You do an excellent job of explaining your rationale for each lure AND how you fish with them. I grew up fishing but my dad always prepared everything for us. I’ve been fly fishing for trout for a number of years, but I want to start fishing lakes and rivers closer to home in Minnesota. I will still use my fly gear but want to learn to use spinning gear, also. Time to broaden the horizons. Thank you, again.

Outstanding information even if it’s from a Hawkeye (just a little kidding from a Badger). It’s refreshing getting advice from someone who fishes in the northern part of the Midwest. I have been bass fishing for almost 60 years but always in the summer and fall. That’s because bass fishing wasn’t allowed in the spring here in Wisconsin until recently. We can now catch and release bass year around. So now I need to get educated about spring bass fishing so your post is perfect. Thank you very much. I’m going to stock up on your suggested baits and head out with my grandson next week. We will be hitting a few our favorite lakes in our kayaks. I’ll let you know how things go.

Debo buddy, another great video. I have one observation concerning retrieve speed for lipless crankbaits and swimbaits. I find the effective speed of the retrieve is less relative to a static water temperature reading, such as 40°F, but is instead more relative to TEMPERATURE TREND, like 5°F WARMER than two days ago. IMO warming trends and cold fronts dictate retrieve speed and lure choice just as much if not more than a static temperature reading.

DEBO'S Fishing awesome, I look forward to that. Kicking Their Bass TV uses one all the time. Like me he has a Pro Ti baitcaster but he ends up using the Smash baitcaster more. I have the Smash Speed Spin and it is a solid spinning reel for under $50

I caught a 8 inch walleye with a googan klutch lipless in a spillway what was wide open. I think he was just in the wrong place and time because my hook was buried in his tail by the fin. But still made me happy to catch something to start the year

Great video choice, Debo. Speaking of Lipplesses. Went to tacklewarehouse.com, and found me a Cotton Cordell. Waiting for the order to come in. I think that the Virus is slowing down my order. Sad!!! First time using a Cotton Cordell. I normally use Rapala. I got some shade of Red. Have not tried red until recently. Thanks so much for the tips. You're spot on the jerkbait. Best cast and retrieve lure for me. My favorite is the shallow diving (0-4 feet). Got my 1st Ned rig few weeks ago. Haven't tried it yet. Those would have been my 3. Next 2: Wacky Worm Rig (Bass Pro Shops Stik-O-Worm Junebug 4 1/2 inch) Berkley PitBoss Black & Blue 4 inch (you made me like that lure soo much!!!) Best Spring vid yet!!!

Interesting to see what you like to throw for early spring. But no jigs?😱 nit’s been so windy at times this year jigs (fairly heavy ones) have been about the only thing I could cast to where the feesh might be. Jigs and red/orange lipless have been the sole producers for me so far in 2020. Another enjoyable vid👍👍👍

in spring time i like weightless worm/stick bait, jerkbait, lipless, squarebill, jig, and a finesse popper. i know thats 6 but i hate leaving home without a top water and a popper is one of my favorite because it can be popped or walked.
