I got a Zafira for this reason, weekends away with the dog..so delighted to find your site and the tips. An 8 hour tea light on a plate covered with a terracotta plant pot ( allow a space between for ventilation) makes a good car warmer. I even use one in my bedroom on cold nights. Also I take large flasks of boiling water to save time as it takes ages to boil the camping kettle. Packs of baby wipes useful for before and after meals. My sunchair wouldn’t go flat so I used the settee seating cushions to get enough height to be flat with the back seats. Fone- invest in some battery packs and unlimited WiFi, remember having it turned to Bluetooth drains the battery quicker

Hi Joanne, they are awesome cars - best of both worlds - perfect family car that doubles as a solo micro camper :) I do the exact same with the thermos (you’ll see it feature in I think almost all of my car camp videos 😂) oh and yes, I always have the baby wipes too 🥳 Sounds like your well set up too 🙏

@@zafiracamper Aw thanks for replying! Other tip is get ye all up to Scotland to practise this! Not crowded like the Lake District always is so easy to find quiet places, no law of trespass as long as you don’t do any damage, and why not include some wild swimming 🤪

I would 100 per cent have placed my money on numeror uno being a heat source.. for me going to the toilet is just a secluded spot in a wood combined with a " pee pot"..!

I used to live in one - it was like a mini hotel and was luxury. My setup was the other way so I sat on the other side :)

Sorry remembered another ( important potentially ) subject you haven't mentioned and it is some form of Carbon Monoxide detector.. I would only use candle heating so would never hopefully apply to me but thought it was worth mentioning??

Hi Gareth, strangely I haven’t had any issue with the cold on car camps so far, I think I must’ve just been lucky with every time I go :) My sleeping bags pretty cool so once I’m inside all is toasty 🙏 Funny you mention the carbon monoxide alarm……..uploaded part 2 of this list yesterday 🥳

Hi there, oh no no no. When I car camp, I’ll walk around the area the day I get there and then go for a run the next day :) It’s makes the whole thing like a mini holiday:adventure. If you check my other videos I’ve posted up all of my car camp and runs/walks 😀

Hi there, 100% yes 🙏 The Jackery comes with a normal household plug, and a car 12v charging plug too. For extra money you can even buy solar panels too 👍🏻

Well, tbh I’ve never needed to charge in the car - I give a full charge before a car camp and always have loads left. I’d say it’s the same as the car kettle though, as long as you charge whilst your driving, then it won’t do anything bad to the battery 👍🏻

Oh no that was on a couple of car camps where I’ve seen kids smoking weed by the side of the road 🙏 made me laugh that always seem to happen when I car camped 😂
