Heavy intercessors not being a heavy tactical squad with an assortment of heavy weapons to choose from is such a miss for me tell me they wouldnt looks awsome with plasma cannons

I love heavy intercessors, but i wish they didn't need 3 requisites for their ability to activate. 1. Be on the objective 2. Have Control of the Objective 3. Be attacked by damage 1 weapons.

I'm a little excited to run anvil siege with 15-20 heavy intercessors into the new mission deck but haven't gotten to play any games yet. Still working out how I want to package them, giving 10 a 6+ FNP seems like it could be fun.

@@crashingatom6755 100% But they're a bit costly now If they just allowed squads of 3 to 6, then a phobos librarian could be justified for a mad sniper team hunkering down with good firing lines If you play casual, recommend the old sniper scouts from legends. 75 points, 4 snipers and a launcher, can't be shot outside of 12"

Regular intercessors with a librarian can be tricky to shift and hes only a 65pt add on. Assault dudes with a chaplain can punch up a little. I just wish the heavy guys had a choice of ammo or something to make them interesting...

honestly with the impending bye for grey hunters and blood claws, it is amazing to see them both shine in the current missions. been taking both and not looking back. but you have to slap ulric in with the bloodclaws to make them worth it.

@@vfminiatures it can be a problemfor sure, but slayer oath really helps punch up. I’ve taken down a lot more than I expected to with them, pleasantly surprised always

Ahah, that’s true - you are in the LoV club, though I think now dwarves have more than Har. What is it, like 8 datasheets total including characters ?

Heavy Intercessors have an elite troop statline except their weapons are very underwhelming. They could be so good if they had a little more damage.

Also, they don't have a special melee weapon option on Sergeant. Missed opportunity to give them a heavy melee weapon.

I think Greyhunters are by far the best choice. The reason is the Terminator Pack Leader with a Powerfist and Cyclone Missile. In Champions of Russ they are Characters that shoot Missiles and could fulfill Sagas for 115.

AND it gets worse. You can give them lance + lethal hits for 1 CP 😮. Man… as UM/Gladius player I can’t help but to feel tempted/sad

Because Assault Termis has useless ability But you still need to deliver them to the charge radius safe. T4 3+ 2w is a new guardsmen variant

I genuinely think Heavy Intercessors would be solid by increasing their damage +1 on objectives and get rid of their defensive ability. It could also apply to any leader attached to them. And makes Halving damage enemies sad. 😂

Now if only Outriders were good. They really need to drop this whole "Primaris are hyper focused" crap and give them the options to take special/heavy weapons again. Outriders need special weapons to be useful,

Almost every faction has only one or two battleline units. Marines have 4.

20 man Primaris Crusader squad, led by Grimaldus for a total of 24 models with fnp5+, my favourite Templar unit to field. Affectionately known as....the brick! They can't be moved 😁!

I would have to agree here, I truly enjoy Grimaldus leading a 20 man PCS, it would be insane if he could field an Apothecary with him too.

@@amess3592 to be fair, you could field a captain with tanhausers bones, and then an Apothecary. 22 man squad with fnp 5+, bringing back a member each round 😂.
