I'm not buying a new car that is not made with a manual transmission... I'm not buying a car with 2 power systems. I guess I'll just have to keep repairing my 96 Dodge diesel pick up with 400,000 miles.

There’s not a race car in the world that has a manual transmission. The dual clutch transmissions, are fantastic. You’re missing a whole world of fantastic cars. Every modern race car has a sequential transmission. If a Dodge truck is all you care about you don’t enjoy driving

I am now into 6th year /15,000 miles of McLaren 570 spider and still very happy with car and its performance. Maintenance costs never crazy and with likes of V-Engineering and Thorney doing wonderful work on things like actuators and springs the aftermarket support is robust and cost effective. Also own a Ferrari California T which is a fabulous “GT” car to soak up mile after mile in Europe with actually a huge luggage capacity to keep the wife happy. On arrival at resort / hotel get the roof down and it’s dolce vita perfection. Did a 3000 mile trip to Ibiza last year and it was a blast. Aftermarket support is excellent too. Same engine as the 488 😝

Great video, Rich. I’ve recently taken up an interest in cars, partly because life circumstances now allow for it but also just as another hobby. I’m looking to buy a supercar but the rational investor in me must see it doubling as an investment 😂 You mention the 296GTB which I like given its a balanced, tech forward Ferrari that drives great from what I’ve seen - I also would wait a bit for the market to bottom out which might create a great entry. Thoughts on 458 Spider or SLS as other options at that price point that are dated but naturally aspirated V8 engines might be better investment opportunities over time? Regardless, great content and I’m a fan!

I think the 296 will go down to the £120k range. The curse of the EV/hybrids. That will still be a hell of a car for that money.

Nice video. You didn’t mention, 992.1 GT3 6 speed. 992.2 has been numbed down due to emission laws making the 992.1 the king.

@ personal preference I guess but I don’t mind the plastic on the wing GT3 just the Touring in light to medium colors …. dark somewhat masks it … new Touring front end is bold

I just sold my 991.2 GT3 and bought a Huracan Technica. Porsche has made too few improvements and kept their horsepower at 500hp. Now they’re into the $300,000 range with markups and price ranges . I don’t understand what Porsche is doing except greed. I considered the 720S worried about reliability, 296 and F8 but didn’t feel comfortable with Ferrari reindeer games so I bought a 24 Technica. But I would like to add a 296

I bought a 2023 296 GTB with 255 miles for $80,500 less than the msrp. Beautiful car - probably drifting lower still over the next year until all the low mileage 296 bought to curry favor with Ferrari dealers for allocations of limited production more expensive Ferrari. They are not being built any longer and eventually all these cars will be sold to real owners.

This is such bad advice. Buying a supercar, for financial reasons? Buy the car you love. And if you can't afford the depreciation you are in over your head anyway. How many people buy an expensive car, and either sell it before the year is up, or skimp on quite important service work? Wake up, or earn more money.

Dude.. Porsche and Audi are not nor have any supercars.. they have sports cars... Porsche AND Audi do NOT have High Grade and fine materials detailing for interiors exteriors and engine that is what classifies supercars. Porsche Quality of Material is that of a VW Golf or Polo leathers plastics paint breaks , exhaust etc etc.

@@AbyNeon Look up R8 and Lambo Huracan. Both share the same engine, drive train and suspension. Both classified and referred to as supercars 👍🏼
