My biggest fear is not even being considered for a job because I’m in my early 50’s. Ageism is real, and even though I’m trying to fill in the skills gaps, it’s hard to overcome the fear of rejection simply because I’m older than most candidates.

Yes, I feel you. Stay positive :) For me, your age would be an advantage, especially for stakeholder relationship management!
