The radio is a weak point of the car. As they age you can get to an issue where your radio will get a short and you get a huge battery drain. The volt meter really comes in nice there. My car ate batteries every week it I let the car sit. Pulled the two fuses for the radio and the problem stopped. When I put the fuses back in I could hear an electrical arc. If you do get a low battery issue you might lose the dash functions, lights and signals but everything still works on the outside. If this happens to you you can reset everything by disconnecting the battery and shorting the cars battery cables to each other. No battery connection just positive cable to negative. Best mod right now under $50? Another tank of premium and go drive it like you stole it!

Good suggestions, especially the volt meter and phone mount. I might have added something on maintaining the rims, like a good brake dust repellent or wheel cleaner. The stock 18's are truly a nightmare to maintain. I switched to ceramic pads on mine but of course they're way above your price threshold.

Nice but I've bought a FM bluetooth transmitter and it actually comes with a volt meter. It tells me the volts as I start the car ' my bass thumps and how quickly my alternator recharges

Oh that's cool I've seen those! Only reason I wouldn't do one of those over this is that you cannot close your ashtray cover it sticks out and stays open at least this way you can close up your ass tray cover and keep everything clean looking

I used a FM bluetooth transmitter for the last 2 years, and just upgraded to the bluetooth adapter. The improvement to sound quality is definitely worth it!

I really like the voltage gauge Idea and I was even about to order it as soon as your video was over but then I remember the Tire Air compressor that comes with the car needs power from the cigarette lighter. what are your thoughts on salving that problem.

Yes very good point. A cigarette lighter relocation in the trunk would be necessary something OEM looking and attached to me trunk mining that looks OEM. Would be very easy to attach directly to the battery

Cigarette lighter on e46’s is always on even when car is off...will the volt meter stay on too after u install it? If so, how can i solve the issue to have it turn off when i pull the key out?

The cigarette lighter stays on for 15 or 20 seconds then goes in to sleep mode until the next time you unlock the car.
