Hi my husband applied for me through spousal sponsorship. Currently awaiting for PR. My question is once i receive my PR and i go to the registry to apply for canadian ID and health card, can i change my last name to my husband's or i can't ?

Hey first time after getting your PR u will hv to go in person , it gives an error when u do online , it’s totally up to u , u can get the new one now or wait till it expires

Thanks Sofia, we received eCOPR recently and didn't realize that I needed to do this. If SIN no changes what happens to the CRA account that was previously created during tax submission. Will that be linked to new SIN or a new CRA account is needed ?

Congratulations on the Ecopr ! I checked with my accountant and they advised that the new sin will automatically be linked with the old one , service Canada also advised the same , so no action needed from our end
