Love your cabinet with the sliding door! You hammered home "A place for everything and everything in its place." Space management is like time management. You have to have a system, and you have to develop the habits to work within the system and do periodic housekeeping--as you so aptly note. David Allen's "Getting Things Done" is a system that I adopted as it appealed to my work preferences over other systems. Nothing is such a time burner as trying to find something (fabric, tools, rulers, glasses) (Labeling folders (as it was a work based system not crafting!) was central to creating an easy index).

Love your ideas. I love to make scrap quilts. I bought a library card catalog for for fat quarter, jelly rolls, rotary cutters, and small rulers. The handles have a place for a card. I organized by color and placed a card with color of fabric that's in each drawer. Everything stays clean and looks beautiful 😍. Now when I get ready to make a block...I pull out the drawer and take to my cutting table. Has saved me hours

P. S. Consider black print (dots/checks) as an alternative for your binding.

Black would make the colours pop. Red will be lost and white is dangerous as a binding as it picks up every bit of dirt
@thesimplequilter74992 жыл бұрын
I have used black as a binding before and I know what you mean by making colors pop. I hadn’t thought of it but I will audition it! Great idea! I agree with using white as a binding
