The CP has a hidden grand piano. Start from power off, put the selector between two instruments, turn it on.

I would love to have all of the Reface series but that wouldn't be too portable lol as with the Roland. That is not a portable keyboard, just offers stand alone features. Those folding keyboards, well, who are they actually marketed too? That Alesis is a disgrace. I've seen toy keyboards better, the Casio SA45 for example. I'm surprised you didn't mention the one I finally ended up with. It's not perfect but gives me playable instruments and 2 drum kits on the keys. The Yamaha PSS-A50 works for me. Love this Channel and even tho I'm in the USA, you folks are still one of my go-to channels for the Best Honest Product Reviews! :)

I would love to find a keyboard that has: -pad sounds -3 to 4 octave keyboard -octave shift And if they have time: -basic effects and EQ -no demo songs -if they really must put demo songs in it, how about just maybe not a big button that starts the same demo song that my 2-year-old son wants to push any time he sees the keyboard (looking at you, Casio SA-76…) I feel like that could be done relatively cheaply?

Use to play piano a bit better than average then arthritis struck my hands. Now I’m in my 70’s and rather sedentary and would like a “lap “ piano to start playing again. The foldable model or the Alesis harmony 32 seem like they would both work well in my situation and price point. Any preference suggestions from those who have used these?

Just got the Alesis and I think you would be happy with that. Great that it's only $49 at Musicians Friend and you can use a headset. Surprised how nice it is for the money. Sounds great too. Better than a kids but not premium.

I agree, with only 37 keys. I wouldn't buy this model, but if I could have more keys, I would have more keys. I have the carry on 88 keys folding piano, but I hate the sound quality, even with headphones there. I also have two other midi controllers, the iRig keys and another Korg model, both of which need mobile devices, tablets, computers Etc in order to play them because they don’t have onboard sounds.@@BuddhaofBlackpool

You've ignored the best one which is a bit costly but has everything you would need. Piano de Voyage...
@Zoco1019 ай бұрын
Many touring professional pianists would value a more portable piano, still with a graded weighted action. The number of keys is less important than the action and the portability, but manufacturers refuse to understand this. A hotel room/airline compatible/motorhome/boat practice piano is badly needed.
@thomasschatton34812 жыл бұрын
From a pianist's view these keyboards are all gimmicks or gadgets. A keyboard that could be seriously considered as a piano to go for serious piano players is the piano de voyage. Have you tried that one?
@vladimird52802 жыл бұрын
Nor this wasn't made for a pianist, this more gigging stuff, or practicing for un- professional pianists
@Cta20062 жыл бұрын
The Roland Jupiter XM can hardly be classified as a gimmick.
@SeanWilsonPiano Жыл бұрын
The piano de Voyage doesnt fit the criteria for this list. It does not have onboard sounds, requires a computer or iPad to play, and is essentially a midi controller

@superblondeDotOrg Жыл бұрын
02:05 "About 5 hours of playing time from 6 AA batteries" That is near useless! who only plays for so few hours?! No one who really practices a lot, only plays so little... That removes Yamaha Reface from any probability of taking it on a travel trip. Casio SA76 will last for 1+ MONTHS of playing on it's 6 AA batteries (especially if headphones are used instead of builtin speaker).
