Interested in doing a LS3 swap for a high mileage BMW, worth it? 6k - 8k budget
@LowBoostFilms5 ай бұрын
LS 3 it’s gonna be just about the entire budget just to get the engine. You are better off getting a 6.0 and buying LS three heads for a fraction of the price. It is definitely worth it and you can do it on that budget. If that is the way you go with the engine.

With a t56 6 speed? Depending on the car that’s not bad including tuning and labor.

@@LowBoostFilms 93 trans am. I think that's to steep. This swap shouldn't be no more than 8k
@H1GHD3FF5 жыл бұрын
@@LowBoostFilms yes sir, the car has a t56 in it already. I appreciate you conversing with me
@LowBoostFilms5 жыл бұрын
The t56 already in it needs to be rebuilt essentially to fit on the ls1, they have different input shafts (might as well buy one) It’s probably close to $7,000 in parts alone if it’s a true Ls1. My T56 was $2000 alone.

There's nothing Sloppy About this Build, Sounds like you a Parts Changer not a Fabricator Get Off that hashtag
@LowBoostFilms5 жыл бұрын
Not sure what a parts changer is, but I’m definitely not s fabricator. I specifically said it’s not a sloppy build. It’s a stock 150k mile lq4 with a cam and springs. Decent turbo and wastegate. I like to call it a half slop lol.

Your better off buying a crate engine because 1. It has warranty 2. It’s new 3.you don’t need new hardware 4. It looks better 5. It comes with a lot of stock hp
@LowBoostFilms4 жыл бұрын
Josh who cares about a warranty when you can replace them for $200. And you still need to fabricate stuff anyway.
