If you don't use, you ll lose it. It's that simple. Having a daily mental challenge goes a long way. One example would be to learn some simple memory techniques and apply them to memorize useful pieces of information. My brain is a lot fresher since i have started doing this. The magnetic memory method is one, Dominick O'brien s work is another.

Meditation is what I need where I am right now. I have nailed my exercise routine to the point where I'm now addicted to lifting weights instead of smoking and doing drugs. The best part about this is that if your mind set is currently something like "I'll deal with excersize later, and stay working hard on ____ for now" It let's you know that that really isn't in your best interest. I’ve struggled for years with my soda addiction. I’ve been able to decrease it over time to one 20 oz bottle a day then water for the rest of the day (I hate coffee so unfortunately soda became my caffeine habit). The pandemic has definitely had me drinking more soda than I’d like to admit. I have a bad habit of trying to cut it cold turkey and failing immediately. I’ve made a promise to myself to slooooowly decrease it so I’m much more successful :) we got this!

I had a problem with spending too much time in bed: sleeping, eating, watching series etc. SO today I got myself a pouf in my room AND I am getting rid of the problem of being addicted to bed! i dont know why but my brain got tricked somehow and it works! Every time i want to relax i subconsciously chose the pouf instead of bed ( because its really comfy) and grab a book. After learning and reading i have this strong need to get up and move so i go do some training or take a walk. And I became more productive! I HIGHLY RECCOMEND

I've practiced Meditation for the better part of 2 years but I have recently stopped. There was a time when I actually liked doing it but it became somewhat of a chore. So I didn't do it for a day and it felt like freedom. I meditated less and less and then stopped completely. I tried to get the habit started multiple times again since I stopped but I never could manage to get back into it and I am not really missing it. I am sure there is something to those benefits but I never really noticed them myself and now the feeling to just snuggle up into my bed without having to sit down for 10 min is just priceless to me.
