I tried D&G K once or twice in department stores on paper and found it horrendous. Then I got a free sample of it later,tested it on skin and I was really surprised. It smells like a very masculine, strong,spicy shower gel.

This was actually one of my favorite fragrances in my opinion because I love the musk and the way it comes off of my skin reminds me a the smell of rain in the air after it rains. Then you add citrus and cedar wood onto that and to me it’s a beautiful fragrance. Just my opinion though😇

@@Natadorian I get lots of juniper. I got a small bottle and Mr Burberry plus Mr Burberry Indigo so that void is filled. They are very similar but Mr Burberry is much cheaper.

You could add Parfums de Marley Lippizan to your collection as well. It was created around the scent of the late 1700's horse races in France so it has that old school scent to it and a little bit of real musk so even during the dry down it smells like a Manly dude after a day of work but not in a gross way. If you know women who prefer the scent of natural musk, definitely check out Lippizan.

Agree very much with you on L'homme Ideal Cool and K. I would add Nightvision to this list, mostly because it is exactly trying to do what Born in Roma is doing. I guess Viktor & Rolf wanted a piece of that bubble gum pie.

I 100% agree with the Varvatos review. Normally Varvatos as some great fragrances. I smelled the Jonas scents and was truly shocked at how non-fragrance it was. I was like “wow”.

I own the JV/NJ Silver and it works well on my skin. I like the berry tone that I get with it and it has gotten compliments at work or out because of it. I will say it doesn't last that long though. The red and blue versions I could barely smell though, but maybe that's just how it is on me.

Wassup Ash? What fragrances would you suggest for a me when I'm working? I run a route everyday that brings me in contact with a lot of females so I want something that will definitely get their attention but is masculine as well. Like you I really enjoy smoky/ woody scents. Reasonable price but if not, I'll try to get decents. By the way I'm over 35 y/o. Love the channel. Thanks in advance.

I agree with Varvatos/Jonas. I got a sample of that from Sephora after the saleslady raved about it. Tried it and it was pretty much everything you said here....bland with bad performance. I wore it twice and used the rest of the sample to spray my bedroom. Worst from the Varvatos line.

scents are personal and each one "behaves" different on each skin (and personally think ethnicity too). anyway.. most of the mentioned scents are NOT available in the Netherlands, so no loss there for me! hahaha.. But the D&G K is here and it's not the best but also not the worst I've smelled and even come to like it. Got the Mugler Alien Fusion and to me that is the best one out here available (we only have 3 or 4 kind of scents in the NL).. And again it IS YOUR opinion.. everyone is entitled to have one. I absolutely agree with every choice. The ones you chose are among the worst fragrances I've smelled all year. I smelled Born in Roma today at Nordstrom for the first time and was absolutely stunned at how mediocre it was. I ended up buying Herod. 😁

I had the same impression of Urban Hero. Would definitely put Wood & Wood in there too. They should've called THAT one Shadow Wood. Cause there's like no woods in there. Not a great year for designer frags overall IMO.

I think D&G K edp is great and underrated. I wear this for myself even before bed. The creamy fig note in the edp is unique. I own the jimmy choo urban hero. Bought it for $30. It is a very safe and pleasant, poor performance. You need to over spray. It does pull compliments. The JV/NJ is safe to the point of boring and the performance is TERRIBLE.

Felt the same way about D&G K, it was trash the first time I smelled it at the mall. Projection was ok, but first shot was just a burst of synthetic citrus and then dry down was completely gone after 2hours. Seriously not worth more than 25$

Everytime I decide to wear K it sprays so finely I feel like I need soo much of it to sit well. It lasts terribly on me and my skin, so I always need the same about reapply. I don’t wear it much but I’m surprised by how much is missing every time. (I always ask if I’m over fragrant, and have never been complemented. Let’s see what summer brings)

Typically a fragrance that's mass appealing, and could be worn almost year round. No specific note that would be off putting in the heat etc.

It's so boring. D&G always releases very creative scents that are memorable. This is a very generic smell. Is it bad? No. Is it worth the designer cost? Absolutely not. I'd rather wear adidas Moves for a quarter of the price.

That's funny: This week I received a sample of L'Homme Ideal Cool and found it also very disappointing. After the initial short mint burst, you get a scent that reminds me the most of my grandma! Now was my grandma a very very nice person, but I rather don't want to smell like her... Btw, smells to me very different to the cologne version (which I have and like alot).

I don't believe I bought anything designer that was released this year like the designers get gemoterically worse each year since 2016 I really have not been completed to buy any designer scent release in the last two years , everything is either redundant or boring or juvenile , there were some minute exceptions , but every time I go to check out the new releases I am like it's pleasant but no I don't really need to buy this it's redundant or it's ok but I am not really feeling it , it's not bottle worthy the designer market is just so depressing

D&G KING bottle , tacky . Same words as I used to describe it. CH King design looks like one of those velvet paintings from the 70's I'll sample Y Parfum. The first Y has that base which I just don't care for. Oh wait, I sampled Y 2017, not Y Live . Didn't know there was a new offshoot Whoops
