Since you won't make a top 5 worst perfect relics list, here's mine: 1. Rush Hour 2. Crash Landed 3. Building Bridges 4. Toxic Tunnels 5. The Crate Escape Toxic Tunnels is the only one that's sheer difficulty, and now it takes up to 15 minutes instead of 3. The other levels are not that difficult overall, but have nightmare inducing sections at the end, and those levels also take twice as long when you have to get all the boxes. The street crossing in Rush Hour is easier in N. Verted mode, but it also takes longer to get there.

I'm doing a Dev Relic run and nabbed 30 out of 38 so here's some tips #1. TURN ON "TIME GHOSTS" You have no idea how helpful they really are, as they would show you what routes they took, in turn showing you various shortcuts. You can shave off a TON of time in that Cortex's level if you go back and jump on a trampoline. They also a great visual que as by passing them you realize that's you're going to get the desired relic #2. USE SLIDE-SPIN You gain way more speed than triple spin since its speed resets, so use it more often. You can even slide jump after a slide-spin with enough timing when you're sliding into a bottomless pit, giving you WAY more distance. Pressing RT + X is also way less taxing on the fingers than constant Xs

The Cortex Levels are automatically the worst Platinums by default just because of how he plays.

My least favorite levels are always the alternate scenarios that start as a different character and then go back to the main Crash/Coco level. I don't really mind the first bit, in fact I don't think Tawna, Dingodile and Cortex have enough levels, but having to do half of the same level again is a chore; it's a lame way to extend levels that don't really need to be that long, it's repetitive, stressful because if you fail in the Crash section you have to re-do the first part and it also messes with my muscle memory of the original level because the layout of those crates is different and it's easy to miss a time crate because it was moved to a different position than the other level I've spent hours on before.

I recommend trying the Crash 4 N. Hanced mod for PC. It cuts out the Crash/Coco portions from timeline levels entirely

Cant argue with Rock Blocked, its an extremely strict time although probably not the toughest for me. Nitro Processing and Seeing Double were probably the hardest for me. I cannot stand that instadeath wall run section in NP. Also do Wrath of Cortex next. Its a lot easier although there are a few choice levels that are shitty. Its like Caddicarus said, theres no consistency to the ease of the times.

I genuinely didn't think I was capable of getting platinum relics but I managed to get the trophy today! Thank you for all the entertaining videos making it look fun to try. I didn't end up struggling on Toxic Tunnels as much as I thought I was going to, and it was the 4 mask sections in the last two levels that really got me. I also hated the "other character" levels an awful lot here. They just weren't as fun and my top 5 list is probably just other character levels lol. And honourable mentions to Draggin' On and Off Balance.

4:54 - It is 2 seperate levels now Lewis. Someone made a mod for this game called "N.Hanced" and splits Rush Hour into 2 levels making 39/39 Relics to collect.

Rock blocked wasn't the last one I platinumed (it may have been one of the final 4-5) but it was the last n sanely perfect relic that took me forever. And it basically boils down to the lava sections. Now it took me I think watching someone do a speedrun to realise that that bit requires you to be better planted on your feet on the moving rock piece and rather than circle+jump, hold the circle for a little longer (animation keeps you in the air), and only jump then. Almost felt counterintuitive to how you play the entire game. Still took me ages to get that one down but that helped with the plat.

I only played the main story... i'm terrified of completing it 100% considering i Died 107 TIMES on the level before the ending where you have to use all the quantum masks to jump through the lasers, but congratulations to you... you're a real gamer to try to 100% this

Crash 4 will forever be my favorite any% game out of the mainline, numbered entries, but anytime it comes to completion it would probably be the bottom of my list. Now that I've completed it using the N. Hanced mod on the PC version, it's the only way I could ever see myself replaying the game going for completion again. It fixes so many things and irons out the insane time trail difficulty curve by making only Sapphires (with newly adjusted times) required for the 2nd secret ending. The mod goes so far above what I expected that it's now my preferred way to play the game, but if I have to do vanilla then man I love Crash 4 for any% vibes and maybe collecting the colored gems. Plat Relics terrify me lol so props for getting them all!

Ika ika section in food run is easy, you just jump from crate to crate. If you mix your double jump with two gravity swaps, you can jump far enough to reach the next box. I went through that section in a few seconds without using a single vehicle

Food run, Toxic Tunnels, rock blocked (specifically the sliding magma section), rush hour were the most annoying for me. Got the 106% twice on this game.

Your list ain't that bad, I totally understand it. Based on the parts that I've watched. For me my top 5 were: 5. Seeing Double 4. The Crate Escape 3. Fossil Fueled 2. Jetboard Jetty 1. Toxic Tunnels I know. For some it may be easy, but for me, these are the ones that I struggked the most. P.S.: You probably knew this, but Toys for Bob's "Project Dragon" was Crash 5 and one of the devs says that it's cancelled. But I don't believe that crap. 😁

5 - Jetboard Jetty 4 - Building Bridges 3 - Shipping Error 2 - Nitro Processing 1 - Seeing Double I think Seeing Double's relic might be the angriest i've ever been playing Crash Bandicoot (which wasn't helped by how i did it on new year's eve, making a mad dash for the platinum trophy before 2020 ended, on a play session that already had me going through other hard time trials and it was the very last thing i had to do).

Top 5 worst relic lvls for me 5. Toxic Tunnels (Honestly just strict time but haven’t suffered as much compared to the others) 4. Food Dimension Cortex lvl (Honestly not even Cortex problem, just hated the amount of times I had to deal with that Crash Run cuz I have to land carefully on each platform while dealing with a strict time😤) 3. Food Dimension Tawna/Dingodile (Took the words out of my mouth while spitting more facts of why this lvl is a pain in terms of relic times. While not that hard until the car traffic, still mess one up then u have to deal with a long slog fest with Dingo n Tawna gameplay) 2. Polar Express (Including Tawna) (Ik the polar hitbox has been fitted which wish I just waited for the patch cuz I already beat the relic with polar’s terrible hitbox. Anyways I still don’t really like how polar moves and the strict time was a pain tbh. Think this lvls gets the most retries outta me because of how annoying polar’s section is) 1. Dino Cortex lvl (Honestly u took the words out of my mouth again n made more great points of why this lvl is bad for time relic. Don’t need to say much other than I never want to replay or even think about this lvl again☠️)

I honestly love Food Run! And I find that each of the Quantum masks are utilized very well! As for that Ika-Ika section, I tend to skip the wall running part, and try to jump from boxes to boxes, using the middle trucks as in-betweens. Much more consistent IMO. But yea, everything else in the list I agree. Screw Rock Blocked in particular 👎

Like some levels were easy like some levels i even got the dev relic on my first try. The only thing i hated in this game are the n sanely perfect relics but it was a fun challenge.

Good list! Yeah, just too many Crash 4 levels kind of drag on anyways with a lot of repetition. The game just has way more fluff than the original Crash trilogy. As I've mentioned before, there is a mod for the PC version of Crash 4 called *Crash 4 N. Hanced* that pretty much is an overhaul to bring more quality of life improvements to the game to make it more manageable and feeling less bloated. It pretty much is the definitive way to play Crash 4 as it definitely trims the fat of the vanilla version.

I can’t pick 5 worst Platinum relics! I hate them all equally, as if I were the father that left for milk 22 years ago. Bad analogies aside, I had the opposite reaction to Platinum Relics and N. Sanely Perfect Relics than you did, it seems. I hated every second of getting Platinum Relics, but the Perfect Relics, they weren’t FUN, but I felt a lot better about mastering the levels breaking all the boxes.

Since you asked, here's my top 5 worst platinums 1: Rush Hour - Why in the world is it not 2 separate levels? It's even the only level in the game that features 2 different characters without either of them being Crash/Coco, and it just so happens to be the slowest characters in the game, in the longest level in the game... Bruh. Didn't even take me that many tries, since I'd gotten used to everything from getting the N'Sanely Perfect Relics, and this was literally just the same thing, except skipping some crates (since neither Tawna nor Dingo have any speed tech), but it still annoyed me (although part of that was probably leftover annoyance from having to get the N'Sanely Perfect Relic XD ) 2: Shipping Error - The side-paths you have to go into in Cortex' sections really annoyed me for some reason. Especially whenever I'd died as Crash and just wanted to get back to that section, but instead have to go on several "side-quests" to activate metal ! crates, so I could move on... The sniper enemies certainly didn't help things either... I'm actually quite surprised to not see this one on your list 3: Crate Escape - I just hate having to go through the Cortex section every time I die at the end as Crash (which happened quite a few times, hahaha... 😅) 4: Rock Blocked - for the reasons you list in this video exactly. I got through the level in relatively few attempts IIRC, so it didn't bother me as much as some of the other levels, but yeah... It's bad 5: Fossil Fueled - Yeah, for the reasons you mentioned. Those three enemies you have to line up are really quite annoying. I didn't personally fail that section many times, but it was certainly frustrating the few times it happened I wonder how different my list would be if I'd gone for all the dev relics... 🤔

In my opinion, I think the worst levels for me have got to be in this order: Fossil Fueled, Rush Hour, N.Sanity Peak, Toxic Tunnels, and Shipping Error. I don't know why, but something about slow cycle-based things or things that move a bit too fast and require some waiting isn't exactly my cup of tea, which reflects across all 5 of these levels.

Hey Wumpa! We all know what you will try to get perfect relics (i heard they are harder than platinum one) but will you make a developer time trial relics? I mean if you dont want to do them then we all dont mind cause they are the reason why Crash 4 could be a 10\10 diff PS game. So dev relics is only depents on want you get them or dont, its youre choice.

i thought for sure seeing double would infuriate you. it was one of the worst for me just because of those 2 crates at the beginning of the sidescrolling bit (the crates tucked away in a little door) cortex's laser will just hit the door instead of the crates, it drove me nuts. otherwise the level is pretty straightfoward and damage boosting means an easy platinum. And rush hour is the worst for me, same reason as you. But i really would put it in number 1 most annoying level not just to platinum, but overall.

The perfect relics can return but are only optionnal for the 100%, the saphir/gold relics can be required for the true ends (like Crash 3 or Wrath of N. Cortex), the crates haven't to be hidden in stupid places and there are some hints to the players.

I honestly just want the padding removed, like the N.Hanced mod does for Crash 4 - No N.Verted gems - No replaying Crash/Coco sections in alternate timeline levels - No worthless gems. Getting 3 gems for collecting 80% of wumpas (which always happens incidentally when going for the crates) just devalues the gems. N.Hanced's 2 gems per level keeps them feeling special
