+CoolPigeon it was a masterfully written show with one of the best characters in entertainment, but it had no charm. If you look at that top 15, you'll notice that just about all of them have a unique feel to them. LotGH is probably the best show I've ever seen-from a critical stand-point, that is. I much prefer artsy-fartsy things, though.

Lol, I love that. I have friends that literally only watch those shows and refuse to watch shows with less than 100 episodes. They won't even watch Fullmetal Alchemist. People may think it's an elitist statement to throw out a joke at casual anime watchers, but it's not wrong, especially since casual viewer generally only know those really long series and at most, if at all, a handful of those ones that blew up in popularity, like OPM, SAO or AoT.

+BobSamurai Anime Reviews nice list! just a correction, FMA:B is a re imagining of FMA. the original, which aired in 2003 and 2004, was done while the manga it was based upon wasn't done yet, so the ending is different. Brotherhood, which aired in 2009 is a proper adaptation of the manga. they're both good, but Brotherhood got the wrong year. also, there is a horrible lack of Gurren Laggan in this series. shame...

MrSpittaz if you dont pay attention it doesnt.....honestly throughout the story it has had a couple twists and turns but not that many but now in the second half of the show is that all the dominoes begin to fall...one piece is gonna have insane twists and turns from now from sanji vinsmoke , to the strawhat grandfleet it is just the beginning but if you look deeper you will discover all sorts of theorys like aokiji being brooks son, or jewlery bonney possibly being aces sister, and more theorys that just come up all the time ive never seen a show be so complex with so many characters and thoerys about all of them.....

For everyone who is saying that this list is weird and requires things like HXH or One Piece or even Naruto, you'r wrong because these anime got popular because they where extraordinary the first few episodes but after you've watched 100 episodes of them you start to realize that they aren't original because they all have patterns like Huge Arc 6-10 episodes of getting in depth of the characters Huge Arc and etc… but these anime are mostly One-shots, they give you a different aspect of anime it makes you really hype when something unexpected comes out of no where so you should respect it!

Top 50's are pretty difficult, from a point on it gets too hard to order them in terms of which ones I like more. I have about 60 or 70 anime I at least like and can put about 30 of them in order of how much I like them(Not based off score). Hey, if you have the time you should review Now and Then, Here and There. It manages to touch upon very dark themes in a very mature and subtle way. It didn't try to be oppressive or overdone in any way. Its kinda hard to explain the show but it features the archetypal cocky anime teenage male protagonist going through some of the most traumatic shit I've ever seen. What's best is that the show retains an almost innocent quality whilst exploring really dark issues, and isn't dependent on gore tactics. Characters are played brilliantly and the overall tone is executed really well. Some other notable mentions would be Planetes, Natsume's Book of Friends and NANA.

The only four big ones missing that I can think of personally are Fate/Zero, Haruhi Suzumiya, Kara no Kyoukai, and Texhnolyze. Though I can say all of those are not for everybody. Props for the shoutout to White Album 1. I have very fond memories marathoning that. I'm curious what you think of the second season if you have watched it. I thought I was the only one who preferred season 1!

Hey Bob, i didnt know if you like sports animes, but I think you should give "ONE OUTS" definitely a try. It is way more than a sports anime, i think it is a mix of the brilliance of characters like Light, L or Lelouch and a massive intregue system. But Toua play another game and its fascinating. And , i think in the same category, not sports related, but gaming and gambeling is Gyakkyou Burai Kaiji 1: Ultimate Survivor. It is AWESOME. Really. That are two 10/10's in my List. I think you could enjoy it really much. Hope u read my comment and if you watch these two or one of them, please make a review about it. More People should know about that. thanks and seeyaaa
