Funfact: Tolmachevy sisters won JESC and were 7th at ESC. Destiny won JESC and was 7th at ESC too.

Actually, Tolmachevy Sisters are 6th if you do the sum of all the points.

Because of the introduction of the online voting, unlike in previous videos, I used the percentage of total points. Automatic 12 points which were given to every entry in 2005-2015, were excluded. Honourable mentions to the winners who didn't make it to the top 50: 57. Maléna - "Qami Qami" (Armenia 2021) / 224 out of 2204 total points (10.16%) 58. Polina Bogusevich - "Wings" (Russia 2017) / 188 out of 1857 total points (10.12%) 76. Roksana Węgiel - "Anyone I Want to Be" (Poland 2018) / 215 out of 2320 total points (9.27%)

If you do try making it with the maximum possible score and making the maximum possible online voting score 33% of the whole online voting points pool (because you have to vote for 3 countries), then entries since 2017 would be even lower, so I thought using total points would be fairer.

There’s a problem comparing editions anyway - songs have different competition in every edition. The way you did the calculations is probably the fairest way - thanks for the insights!

Today I've spotted something: there isn't a single video on youtube about best eurovision show, as a whole. My personal top 3 would be 2015, 2012 and 2016 (and 2017 last). By the way, great video! I'm not a big fan of jesc, but I got a couple good songs to add to my playlist.

Thanks for those stats!!! My prediction before I watched the video is that Nebo will be 1st
@JESC_Penguin3 жыл бұрын
Yes, I was right. I thought it would be the winner with the distance between Ukraine and Georgia pointswise and Nebo being a really strong song compared to the other jesc 2012 songs

These numbers are misleading, as it would be impossible to get 100% of the points. In 2013, you put 'out of 754', which I understand is 58 (the number of points given by each country) + 13 (the amount of countries participating + the kids' jury), but the highest possible amount of points a song could've received is 144 (not including the automatic 12 points), if the 11 other participating countries and the kids' jury all gave a song the maximum 12 points, so Russia would have 65.28%, Belarus would have 66.67%, Ukraine would have 75.69%, and Malta would have 81.94% of possible points.

Well 2018 was stacked so its not really suprising that the points would be a lot more spread out.

Why in 2017 the sum of online voting points is 929 instead of 928 and in 2020 it’s 697 instead od 696???
@AlexESC3 жыл бұрын
idk, for some reason (rounding, I guess) the sum of the online votes is off by one point, if you add them all up
