To those questioning Nairo over Leo: Nairo was more not only more consistent (worst placing is 9th), he won Smash Con which was almost an S+ tier. Compared to GTX, an S tier, and 2GG, which was barely S tier. Leo also got 65th at EVO and 17th at DHATL, an S+ tier and a S tier.

Rafael Aguilar the way they decide who gets place where is totally up to math. There's little to no subjectivity on who takes which spot, Nairo simply did slightly better in general than Leo so he got placed higher.

There's subjectivity in what maths you chose to use though, how you value tournament placements, wins over pgr, etc. So yeah, depending on what you value, there's a case to be made for Leo > Nairo. It was actually pretty close and one of the topic that received bets on Twitter by top players because of how hard it was to predict. I'd say Nairo/Leo and Dabuz/Tweek were pretty hard to predict if you're not really well aware of how PGR formula work.

Senen Of course there's the issue of what math to use but they used the same numbers to calculate the rankings for everyone on this list. Everyone got ranked in an even playing field, no one the PG stats team saw the rankings and said "Oh, nairo isn't ranked high enough, better change the numbers we've used to rank everyone to make sure nairo outplaces Leo".

Technically Leo's placings put him below Nairo on the PGR due to math, but I think the people at PG know that Leo is probably a bit better overall (just a bit, I love both players) and they gave him the +1 X-factor ranking, whereas Nairo's x-factor is negative.
