Top 50 Songs Most Successful in Televoting (1998-2021) / Eurovision

It's a list made of 50 #Eurovision songs most successful in televoting (audience or public vote) according to a percentage of available points. Every song's amount of televoting points was divided by maximum possible score which the song could be awarded by televoting.
The video includes songs which competed in the finals from 1998 to 2021 excluding 2002 and 2013. If the rules of the contest make juries an exception due to an invalidity of the televoting, then these jury points are accounted. In 2001, when 100% jury and 50/50 voting systems were optional, most countries went for 100% televoting. That's why this year was included. In 2002, a lot more countries adopted the 50/50 system and the split results weren't released. In 2013, split average rankings were published instead of split points, so televoting points are not available.

I've never voted in ESC before but this year I voted for Italy. Not because I loved Maneskin (actually I liked Manizha more) because Italy deserved to win two times before 2015 and 2019. It was justice to Italy and it finally happened❤️🇮🇹

They used to be a jury country from 2011-2013 and it massively switched in 2015 before switching back in 2016. In 2017 they were the favourite going in and slightly against expectation under performed in both votes equally - I say slightly because it was top ten in both votes overall as opposed to Portugal storming both, back to juries bleeping them in 2018, while 2019 was close but no cigar in both. Maneskin had similar results to Toy except narrowly one jury position lower and a larger number of points in the televote including some from every country which ironically both IL Volo and Mans Zermerlow achieved too and is pretty rare.

It is not 78% of all points given but of all points possible to receive by one country. For example, in 2021 country could have 468 pts from televote max if all country gave 12pts. But there is a total of 58 pts given by every country (with the 12 10 8 7 6 5 etc...) So a total of 2262 pts given by televote

I had forgotten how much Norway got in 2019 but especially Italy in 2015. It also surprises me that Euphoria is only 9th when I, personally, and also so many others, say that it is the greatest Eurovision song of all time, but I guess there was more competition in 2012? Ok - I don't think either of Sergei's songs are actually all that and the first one won the televote at least partially on all the flashy graphics IMO. Jamelia was the right result and Heroes is significantly better than A Million Voices. I adored the bleep out the grannies, loved Maniza and want Little Big back if not next year than soon so I don't hate Russian entries just because they're Russian. I think they're over rated because they rely in a lot of cases on over emotive singing and flashy staging.

Took me long enough to realize that maximum points a song can get is currently at 12 points per country, while the total points awarded across all the songs in the competition is 12+10+8+7+6+5+4+3+2+1 = 65 from each country, so the songs from a single event on this list can easily add up to more than the maximum said on screen.

Couldn't be more proud of Salvador Sobral on 3 😍😍😍😍 I think a lot of these songs lost due to the jury - but we cannot forget that most winners still had around 50% of the public's votes - even though other songs were more liked in a year doesn't mean nobody likes it, and it didn't deserve to win (see 2015). The whole projection thing of Sweden in 2015 definitely played a huge role in their win. Like really, if they hadn't shown that captivating projection and just did abstract animations, lights and pyro or something I'm pretty sure Italy would've won.
