I did this at a bar. I lived closed by and used to chat with the cops that would hang out and watch at the bar. One night I was getting ready to leave and so where they. So I asked if they could give a ride since I was close by and on the way back to their station. They agreed. So of course as we where walking out I walked with my hands behind my back. Man the next day I got my family asking me if I got arrested and what the heck did I do hahaha.

Fluffys right about making a cop laugh. A few months ago I got pulled over for not wearing a seatbelt. I pulled into a gas station and started circling the gas station. I finally pulled over, cop comes to my window and asks what the hell I was doing. I told him my wife ran off with a cop and I thought it was you bringing her back. He laughed and told me just to move along. Unfortunately my wife did run off just 3 months prior to that.....

Can confirm, if you make a cop laugh, you won't get a ticket - My dad got pulled over for not wearing a seatbelt, when the cop came to the window he asked 'Sir, what is the belt for?' and my dad, without thinking, replied 'To keep my pants up.' The cop was confused at first, but his partner, who heard the answer, started laughing out loud! Then it clicked for him too and he started laughing as well, told my dad to put on his seatbelt and have a nice day.

An aunt and uncle (both Mom's siblings) were driving up to my parents' wedding when they got pulled over for speeding. The officer asked my uncle, who was driving, to step out. Over fifteen minutes passed and my aunt started to get worried. She turned around and saw my uncle and the cop bent over laughing their asses off. My uncle still got a ticket, but never paid it and no one ever came after him for it. He said he was a bit disappointed because he kinda wondered what being in jail would be like. Knowing him, he'd probably be best buds with everyone there, inmates and guards alike.

Dennis Leary is another one I have no love for, and that’s hard to admit because my entire family are professional firefighters. Dennis has done a lot for FDNY in particular after 9/11, and that work has helped a lot of people so credit where credit is due. But that doesn’t change the fact that most of his breakout performance (No Cure For Cancer) was blatantly stolen and plagiarized from actual comedians like Louis C.K. As for Ned, I just never really cared for the stuff he out there. I almost said “his jokes”, but as we all know, many of “his jokes” weren’t his. It’s one thing to bomb using his own material, but to lack the most basic understanding of what’s funny to the point that he actually stole the BAD jokes is proof positive that Ned “Carlos” Mencia is just not a funny person. And unfortunately for him, being funny is sort of a requirement for a comedian…

I was a cop for twenty years in my younger days and I enjoyed every single one of these. Believe it or not cops are some of the funniest people I ever met. My father in law was a truck driver from Kentucky and his brother (also from Kentucky) had also been a cop in his younger days. Those two were absolutely hilarious! The guys I worked with were some of the funniest people too, greatest group of guys I ever worked with. Gabriel here has what a good comedian almost always has; the ability to mimic voices, faces and sound effects much like Bill Cosby did in his recording days, before we found out the bad stuff. I really enjoyed these and I'm glad I stumbled onto them!

The humor translates to military police, also. My late father's favorite story was his early days of driving as a teen. He's on the nearby USAF base, to pick up his younger sister from her friend's house. He was headed to the back gate, not paying attention to his speed. He caught sight of the lights in his rear view mirror. He knew how slow the jeeps were. He calculated that he could get to the gate, and out of the jurisdiction, before the guy could catch up. He topped the rise to see the gate closed, with an older guy leaning on it. He pulled up. The older guys sees this panicked teen boy with his preteen sister. He glances back at the approaching jeep, still a distance away. He starts to laugh, "You ever hear of a radio, son?" (Dad is imitating the laconic Texan accent perfectly.) Then, to Dad's shock, the guy opens the gate. "You'd better get out of here. He's entirely too hyped up for me to let him get at you kids. *Never* speed on this base again." Both kids, "Yes, Sir!" (Out of trained respect, not in a military response.) Dad drove out. He said that he could hear the gate guard laughing, the jeep slamming on it's brakes, door banging open and slamming shut, as the jeep driver started yelling at the gate guard. By that time Dad was well around the corner on the civilian road. Dad always had a twinkle in his eyes when he would reminisce about that gate guard.

I was the Active Duty at a USN, USMC, USA combined Reserve center in Tulsa OK in 2000. Main duty was the Training Officer for the Navy side of things. Had a BUNCH of reservists that were either local or State Police. Crazy bunch and funny as shit to swap stories with. We had one of our reservists on active duty orders working at the center and was killed when his car fell off a jack😢. We planned a full military honors funeral for him and I was in charge of the firing squad for the 21 gun salute. So the day of the funeral, I met the center Armory and drew 7 M-16’s and a box of blanks to render Honor with. I was using my personal car due to the Center vans were being used to transport other members to the ceremony. I was still in Civ cloths btw. I hit the on-ramp headed south ( which usually has an Oklahoma Highway Patrol looking for speeders, so not unusual). About 20 min into my drive ( in traffic flow), I see an OHP behind me. Couple miles later, 2 more show up, that’s when the first one “Lit me up”! I pull over and the first officer approached and asked the usuals and took my info and told me they were going have a dog do a “Walk around”. I didn’t notice another officer on my passenger side until the first officer was walking back to his car. So now there are 5 cars! Dog Immediately hit on my trunk, it escalated into a felony stop! They had me do the whole backwards thing and put me in Cuffs and put in the first car. They hadn’t let me explain anything at that point. About five minutes later another trooper came up laughing his ass off as I sat in the back of the cruiser and simply said “ Having fun” (with a shitass grin on his face). They pull me out of the car, uncuff me. Except for the first two officers I dealt with, all the rest were my reservists, those bastards🤣 All were off duty, also on the way to the funeral for traffic control, all weapons were unloaded, except for 2 OHP Sergeants that observed the whole thing. The main planners of the the whole thing were a bomb squad guy for TPD and an OHP Pursuit guy. I sent the OHP guy to Diego Garcia for 2 months 🤣 Disclaimer, he wanted to go.

most extreme thing I heard about drunk driving, happened in germany: police stops a car. driver and passenger are well soaked. they both climb into the backseats and when the officer asked to open the door, they both claimed to be just passengers. they couldn't be fined because it was not possible to determine who drove.

@@sergeantskrtskrt9594 actually, it depends on the kind of violation; for speeding tickets for example the owner of the car WILL be fined, if the driver can't be determined (except for when the car was stolen), because the owner is expected to know who is driving their car i would believe that same logic will be used most of the times, except for criminal violations, anything that carries the chance of prision time needs to have the guilty party to be identified

true story, i am running across texas on I-20. i wasnt paying attention to how fast i was going. I had a trooper pull me over and said he got my speed locked in at 86 in a 65 but he knew i was going faster. so he asked," what's the big rush driver?" On the drunk driving story; I’ve never been black-out drunk, but I HAVE been to the point where mentally, you’re still clear as a bell, but the connection to the physical is shot. Like, I was completely aware - of the fact that I could just barely walk a straight line. It was really surreal, being able to THINK like normal, but KNOWING that I couldn’t function like normal. Odd dichotomy, that. It was almost like I was separate from myself, just watching drunk me try to articulate my temporary state of near-total uselessness, lol. Fortunately, I was at a renaissance fair the night before they open (I work ren fairs in New England), and only me and my buddies were on site. Don’t get drunk around only total strangers - that’s trouble waiting to happen. Get drunk around your besties who all have higher tolerance levels, where none of you have to drive anywhere, or function before 10 am the next morning (even if you don’t get a hangover, functioning on weekends before 10 am is a no-no ;) )

Drunk driving story; I can't remember who this was now, some high school acquaintance of my little brother. Apparently he passed out at the wheel and crashed, but had the presence of mind to CALL THE COPS, throw his keys into the field, and find a place to mostly empty a pint of whiskey. When the squad car arrived, he was sitting on the hood with an empty bottle, claiming that he drank the bottle because he was so shook up after swerving to miss a deer. He got a Minor in Possession charge.

I get such great vibes from Fluffy! Probably a riot to hang with! Here's one I heard that WILL get you a ticket lol Guy gets pulled over on his way to work. Cop asks what's the hurry? Guy says he's late for work and his job is very important to law enforcement and he can't be late. Cop asks what is your job? Guy replies, "I'm an asshole stretcher." Cop says "What the hell do you mean?" Guy says, "I stretch assholes. You know, start with one finger, then two, then eventually you get both hands in there and stretch it out till it stands about 6 feet tall." Cop asks "what the hell do you do with a 6 foot asshole?" Guy says, "we put them in uniforms, give 'em cop cars and send them out to give speeding tickets" 🤣
