Bird: "I didnt change the intro and outro to the new video resolution 😭😭"
I found some old footage from my First Ever Tournament at White Belt in 2013 😅
Before shoyoroll, before flograppling, all we had was panda express and a dream.
I haven't watched any of these videos in literal years.
So, I decided to commentate on Past Andrew's BJJ Skills 😬
The guy from the story and me have talked, he doesn't really remember it that way and he seems like a genuinely nice person. I probly wont be following up with the story.
----Things we are currently looking into to improve----
Timestamps each video with hyperlinks
The Outtro audio only playing through one ear on a headset
My shitty Jiujitsu
Gimble for steadier recording?
Thumbnail skills are currently a work in progress
We're revamping the patreon and working on a better system between us for getting videos posted there early. Events, merchandise, narration, ect all being added.
Throw me any tips you have about really reaching more people with the channel. More Reach = More people learning good shit = Better Jiujitsu all over
------------------------------
Come check out our discord! Me and Bird are active, answering questions and talking in voice chat.

While we do have free technique videos available on this channel, the difference in detail and structure between a free/short youtube video and a six hour instructional is significant. If you want to follow up and learn more, we have a plethora of insanely detailed and structured instructionals on BJJ Fanatics. You can go to BJJFanatics.com and search Andrew Wiltse, or follow the link below.
bjjfanatics.co...
If you want to see more content like this, along with other things like pictures, flyers for seminars, smaller clips, random hood rat stuff, ect, check out my Instagram. It is by far the easiest way to get ahold of me outside of messaging me on patreon.

If you are looking for a way to throw money our way, or if you want Me and Bird to Commentate on your Rolls, Make you a Particular Technique Video, Live Q&A Stuff, ect. We have a Patreon that is being developed with more perks coming.
/ wiltsebrothersbjj
If you want to see some actual high quality videos and documentary type stuff, check out the Pedigo Submission Fighting KZbin. I don't have too much involvement in making those videos, but They do a pretty fantastic job with the production quality and editing.

Awesome! Loving this channel...and as a dude who currently sucks at BJJ it's good to see a pro break down what he sees as the big differences that actually look small to someone who doesn't know any better. For me, the overall big picture of how you were moving and the grips you were taking and the attacks you were using looked indistinguishable to me from how a high level guy rolls, but the pointing out of "hey, actually this detail is incorrect and changes everything about this technique" is super cool to hear from a black belt looking back on his matches as a less experienced practitioner of the art. Much love from the Chicagoland BJJ scene Wiltse bros!

@@AndrewWiltse Yeah, he's brought you up a few times as a high level guy in the sport. I just shared a video of you rolling with another guy in our team chat and he shared this video. I've know Brad since around this time and rolled with him when he was a blue belt. It's wild to look at you, Brad and other practitioners that have been doing this for years and see a white belt around their waists. I'm mesmerized by the different levels to this sport.

There’s no reason to be embarrassed about showing the world a part of the journey that took you to where you are now. Most of us will probably never be as good as you were when you were a blue belt. Certainly not when you were a purple. As a physically broken 42-year-old purple belt hobbyist, that “shitty white belt” version of you would have given current me some problems. Watching you as a white belt, I see lots of things that needed to be tightened up, but you were tough and tenacious and had a good understanding about the importance of staying on top and putting pressure on your opponent. Also had that eye of the panda. Try not to see that video as something about which to be self-conscious. It gives the rest of us hope that we won’t always suck because we see that you didn’t crawl out of the womb already a killer on the mats. You put in the time and effort, and if we do the same, we will continue to improve, which is inspiring.
