@@JH-en1jo I totally understand that it is fun to make stuff! Although I personally would rather be making the stuff the tools were made to make than spend time and money to make the tools! 😵 Especially when all of the ones here can be had so inexpensively. Now if they were actually inventions or even a modification of an existing tool that makes things smarter and easier, then I am all for it. But seriously not a single one of these fall into that category. But hey, if you enjoyed making them, then great for you! In the future just don't claim they are smart diy inventions if they are just homemade versions of commonly available inexpensive tools. Obviously you are going to get some negative feedback when people are mislead. 🙄 All the best!

If you don't have basic hand tools and can't buy them, but you do have an angle grinder, a power drill, a welder and a pile of rusty steel, you can make your own tools. Makes perfect sense to me! The title is a bit misleading, though. Just one two-letter word, "My", added to the front of the title would have made it more accurate.

How socialist of this man not contributing to our for-profit, free market, capitalistic society! We can not have self sufficient humans making their own tools! Government can not collect taxes on such items yet. And how are corporations suppose to make profit for their shareholders if more socialists like this man make their own tools, grow their own food, harvest rainwater, reuse their gray water, and use renewable sources for their energy needs? Basically, not being a productive member of society and not contributing to our society! Something must be done about this! This is all very clever. These are not inventions, however. This is recreating crude versions of pre-existing stuff. And, even though I already have the welder and grinder (Which, come on... that is NOT part of the average tool set. Every guy has a hammer; not every guy owns a welder or grinder), by the time I go buy the metal stock needed to make these things, and spend the time and energy; plus, let's not forget that welders are not free to run, and grinder wheels cost money... these tools can be bought for less money. The only way that this makes sense, is if the dictator of the socialist utopia, in which you reside, has issued you welders, grinders, and an unlimited supply of metal stock... but won't provide you access to basic hand tools.

Smart inventions, yes. Smart to build your own half-arsed versions when you can buy them for a buck or two. No.

If you have the scrap metal and tools laying about and it is a day's trip to get to the store it can be cheaper to make it. Also it is a great project for when you are board.
