First off things like the hole punch would be much faster to just build one then to go to the store. I build tools every day to avoid the time it would take to go to the store. second off some of these tools are not available in any store.

No, its a waste of time. Mild steel is so soft, the attempts at making a gear, in that excuse for a ratchet wont last 10seconds before being round off if you put any sort of pressure on it, let alone the square drive point for the socket

Why not clear the corrosion off before welding? ...welds full of inclusions and interfacial joints full off crud and corrosion. Quite silly to say the least. I suppose this is the difference between and engineer and a mechanic. An engineeer knows more than it is necessary to know! All rather sad.

Although I personally would rather be making the stuff the tools were made to make than spend time and money to make the tools! 😵 Especially when all of the ones here can be had so inexpensively. Now if they were actually inventions or even a modification of an existing tool that makes things smarter and easier, then I am all for it. But seriously not a single one of these fall into that category. But hey, if you enjoyed making them, then great for you! In the future just don't claim they are smart diy inventions if they are just homemade versions of commonly available inexpensive tools. If you don't have basic hand tools and can't buy them, but you do have an angle grinder, a power drill, a welder and a pile of rusty steel, you can make your own tools. Makes perfect sense to me! The title is a bit misleading, though. Just one two-letter word, "My", added to the front of the title would have made it more accurate.

He's using a different bit that has another drill sticking out of the center of the hole saw, which is the first one to bite into the material and then guides the saw part. Here's a picture: www.123rf.com/photo_52853635_wood-hole-saw.html The bit depicted in the video is for drill-presses, which don't need an additional guide. The bit I described is for hand tools.

This is all very clever. These are not inventions, however. This is recreating crude versions of pre-existing stuff. And, even though I already have the welder and grinder (Which, come on... that is NOT part of the average tool set. Every guy has a hammer; not every guy owns a welder or grinder), by the time I go buy the metal stock needed to make these things, and spend the time and energy; plus, let's not forget that welders are not free to run, and grinder wheels cost money... these tools can be bought for less money. The only way that this makes sense, is if the dictator of the socialist utopia, in which you reside, has issued you welders, grinders, and an unlimited supply of metal stock... but won't provide you access to basic hand tools.
