Thanks for this great video. I put together an 800 point Mordor list and wanted to hear your thoughts on it: Warband 1 - 17 Warriors Leader: Witch King - 3M 14W 2F -Crown of Morgul -Armored Fell Beast 8 Mordor Orcs w/Shield 7 Mordor Orcs w/Spear 1 Mordor Orc w/Banner Warband 2 - 12 Warriors Goroth Captain of the Morannon 6 Mordor Orcs w/Shield 5 Mordor Orcs w/Spear Mordor Orc Drummer Warband 3 - 12 Warriors Kardush the Firecaller 4 Orc Trackers 4 Orc Warriors w/Shield 4 Orc Warriors w/Spear Warband 4 - 4 Warriors Mordor Troll Chieftain 2 Orc Warriors w/Shield 2 Orc Warriors w/Spear and Shield Totals Models: 47 Might: 9 Has Banner and Drum. I wanted the list to play like a horde army with plenty of orcs to help the larger heros do most of the killing. I also wanted to take advantage of the ability to sacrifice cheap orcs with Kardush and Goroth and use Kardush to supply the WK if I start to run low on will. Witch King needs no explanation, Harbinger of Evil, great caster, 4 attacks with monstrous charge on Fell Beast. Goroth has the drummer and will be used to pile in with his orcs and cut through enemy troops using his S5 with +1 to wound which allows him to take down even D7 enemy troops on a 4+. Kardush brings fury to mitigate the orcs courage issues and can cast pretty much at will with his special rule. Troll Chieftain is here to bring some real hero killing power outside of the WK himself. The only thing I am concerned about with this list is the lack of mobility but I am counting on numbers and the WK on Fell beast to be enough to deal with this. Please let me know what you think and if you would make any changes.

Overall I love the list it has everything you really need! The drum will shoot you up the Field might gained from Gothmogs MOB! Love it and I can not rate having a chief highly enough! A true hero killer with the WK! Only thing I would possibly add is a couple of Warg riders for that last minute OBJ grab (which has won me games sooo many times) it will give your drums the freedom to move the orcs to envelop or concentrate on the rest of the battle! Even just 2 wargs can win you the game but of course this is just a suggestion. I love your list but I always bring cav if I can haha and 11pts is a steal ;) thanks for commenting! @@shadowwraith7560 thank you for the feedback I'm glad you like it! One thing to clarify, thats Goroth Captain of the Morannon from the Gondor at War supplement not Gothmog. The other thing I wanted to ask was: how many models can I expect to face in most 800 point lists? I agree having a couple of warg riders would be great but I want to make sure I'm still getting the Mordor army bonus in most matchups and I've heard around 50 models should outnumber most 800 point lists?

@@spencersmith4373 oh sorry my bad! Still a fantastic addition for things like fog of war! And yes 50 models will outnumber most lists at 800pts (Bar horde lists like Goblin town/laketown ect) so 47 models is solid :) your list its a hero heavy horde list (Compared to other mordor hordes ) which is nice so i wouldnt worry too much as you will beat up most other armies who have numbers to start with as you will have the heroes who can do damage and keep yourself out numbering! :)

Gr8 vid, keep it coming. One question tho, what would u recommend for a rangers-shire list. I tend to take Gandalf due to his magic capabilities and it works for most scenarios. However, when it comes to ones that rely on warlord kills, the list obvs falls short. I'm kinda stuck as there isn't rlly a higher ranking hero to put as my warlord.

If you really want Gandalf as your leader for the magic then always stick him on a horse for the +1 attack knockdown bonus dealing 4 attacks if he wins the duel at S5 with the option to two hand :) He has immobilise to throw at heros before he charges in as well as command to move banners away (Or towards potential charges) from fights he will be getting involved in :) He can do it without a doubt plus knocking trolls over with Sorceres blast is a fantastic way of dealing with them ;) He has lots of tricks to help you in Contest of champions like immobilising the enemy leader while you get kills :D It will be tricky vs some matchups for leader kills (Balrog) but no means an auto lose as you will have other ways to kill their leader with rangers or Strider perhaps, Hope this helps
