I've recently acquired the new Amflow Carbon PL Base model. Swapped out the wheels to Zipp Moto 2 and changed out the drivetrrain to XX T Type transmission and AXS reverb dropper. Just because I had them already. Swapped out the brakes for Stealth Ultimate Code Brakes as this is what I always run, along with One Up carbon bars, Hope gravity stem, Ergon grips and saddle, which are always my preference. Upgraded the damper to Grip 2, for full adjustability. Omg this bike is seriously on another level. I took it today on my favourite routes and I was laughing at how well this thing climbs. There's a certain part of the trail that has a fantastic downhill descent that I always hit but with this bike I could climb back up the same trail and do it all again. I did it 5 times, grinning every time. It opens up parts of the trail that is completely new. Flipping amazing, absolutely love it. The power is fully controllable and the level of grip outstanding, with the Big Betty and Magic Mary combo. You can barely hear the motor and no noise at all when descending. The bike is practically silent, but when you hit boost Omg it's amazing. Sooo happy I pulled the trigger and treated myself. Can't wait to get out again to explore parts of the trails to date have been impossible 👌👍😀

So you’ve changed everything! 😂 But seriously, nice one! Sounds like you’re having a blast! 🤘

@MBRmagazine hahaha 😂 only because I had it all already. Made more sense than buying the Pro version @ £3k more. Got a higher spec than that now. So impressive with the motor and power. I returned back with 42% after over 2 1/2 hours of blasting around. The App is brilliant too so you can dial in all the requirements. Keep up the great content, always click on as soon as you upload. Stay safe 👍👌😁

Will be great to somehow get a comparison on how the Amflow wears the drivetrain compared to other systems. A few muddy rides with that much power will eat those expensive XX drivetrains, so then you put cheaper heavier replacements on and go backwards in terms of weight saving 🤣
@guyvishnu6 күн бұрын
So far, out of all those bikes, the Trek will be the one I want.

Exactly what I was thinking! * Apart from perhaps, the Vala.

Manufactures should make 400 watt stackable batteries. You could ride with 400 watts. Have sl. Ride with 2 batteries have 800 watts. Change power settings for one or the other in the app. Save a ton of money for manufactures making less bikes, and we could carry an extra one in a hip pack and go mega distance with 3 batteries. Isn't that what people want? Light weight and full power.

That’s the dream. Pretty tricky to package right now but maybe in the future.

I have a 630w in my Repeater I average 20 miles per ride and still have 15 miles left on eco after riding mostly in trail mode , these are tough technical ride in the Northeast USA 🇺🇸.A friend has a lightweight Norco he’s usually dropping out around 14 miles

All the reviews ive seen on the Amflow are on the pro model which is 3k more. Is the standard model just as good? because my budget wont stretch to 9k.

The Whyte Elyte EVO is full power and weighs 21kg. That's NOT an SL emtb. If it was 18kg then it would be, but it's not. It's just a lighter full power bike.

It’s SL compared to Whyte’s E160! 😂

@@MBRmagazine true!! Just shows how far we've come, the days of a 26kg lump of an eMTB are numbered, all full power bikes will be 20-22kg soon. But a true 'SL' eMTB for me is low/mid power, sub 18kg, absolute max 19kg, and feel no different to riding an analogue bike. Super light weight, super light 'feeling', super light impact to your riding when coming from an analogue MTB.

@MBRmagazine6 күн бұрын
Absolutely not - can’t argue that we haven’t had a lot of videos with e-bikes recently, but there’s also been a lot of new e-bike tech released in the last few months. 👍
@ManchurianCounterweight5 күн бұрын
I would say that when a new e-bike tech is introduced, people get very excited, but when a new analogue bike comes out like the Jesse, it's tumbleweeds and hawks going "screeeeeeee" over a solitary western desert canyon. Not as many people care about non-e bike stuff anymore because what can you do to two triangles to make it exciting? Eeebs is where it is at, and is the future of the mtb industry. Eeebs have saved the azzzz of many bike companies, like Haibike, Trek, Cannondale, etc.

Nothing with a 170 , 180, 190 up front or at rear ...seriously disappointing. I think the end of 2025/26 will be the time emtbs really hit the mark. dji in other brands will be great, and hopefully, we will see sub 20kg full poweted 800 + on all ebikes. If the amflow had 170 upfront, I'd be interested. Still havent been on anything that is better than my pole vioma from 2022 190 /190 800watt 29r 24kg high pivot dh certified catg 5 beast , has a gen 4 bosch cx and although the new one is an upgrade the power is the exact same , there has been nothing thats really moved on that much , the nicoli looks stunning and the pinion gear box is great , but by all acounts its not the finished article and the weight is 25 to 26kg on some builds ....way to heavy. But i love the look of the am flow with dji motor....wish atherton would realese a emtb 😂
