I was in prison when I read the book unbroken. I was feeling pretty broken at the time having lost everything to addiction and now facing a lengthy amount of time behind bars. At the end of it he finds god, as I finished the book we literally got a new celly who pretty much started asking if I want to learn the Bible. I thought this to much of a coincidence and said yes. I ended up on the Christian block in the prison. Today I’m 6 yers sober with more blessings than I can count. Wife, kids, a home a good job. I to was broken but now am unbroken. Hope this gave someone some hope.

From a brother CHRISTian I was a Deputy did something stupid and risked everything even though I had young kids and a wife that was loves I sustained a significant brain injury not from me taking him out but he t boned me drivers and my head hit the window bad enough I suffered short term amnesia still struggle. My issues is the star fought even though their dr said I’d never work again.!welllong story short wife cheated lost everything I owned the night before I was removed from my house I had a gun I one hand and pills in the other I just everybody would be ok. I started pulling the trigger and heard you do. This you go to hell so the thing I feared my whole was that so I stopped I broke down crying begged GOD AND HIS SON to hephow ever they saw fit and I started praying like I never well God alway true in his word broke me down to empty shell I felt nothing I lived inatruckfor the winter and as I built my relationship with God and Jesus I realized they loved and after kicking me in the butt and shacking me to my soul I am aGOD AND JESUS loving CHRISTian and I will never be weak and turn away from them again God bless you brother it can be hard to have that strong a faith but when you have nothing to lose they. Show up and as I continue the path believe I’m intended to walk I smile and thank them for loving me enough to not quit on me but then you understand and I’m so happy for May. @@flolou8496 it’s not in every prison and in fact from what I heard, a few years later it was shut down and turned into a regular prison wing. It’s was definitely something to see. A block with zero violence……almost lol…..and prisoners praying, doing Bible studies, laughing. Free men on the inside.

Nowhere - the people that made it dont seem to know that shipping containers are not waterproof. At all. Not even slightly. That thing would have sunk to the bottom of the ocean in four seconds. (The ones that float just float under the surface with a corner sticking up and thatsbecause they are totally filled up with some light cargo, like crates of foam or something.) I work in shipping.

@@James-li7qc Well, that's the whole point, they have to be believable. At least for 90 minutes. If you can believe in that shipping container then you must live an easy obvious life. They weigh 4.5 tones empty and the doors are as waterproof as your toilet door. Dummy.

I was suprised that I had seen all of these already except for #1 The Reverent? I found 2 thru 7 all good movies in their own ways and I believe #1 is a remake of a movie from the 60's or 70's...can't remember the name but if this is a remake it better be good because the original was very good! Hope its not like the remake of True Grit...exact same movie just with new actors...John Wayne's original was a unmatched classic...enjoy!

There are a couple of other movies based on Hugh Glass. Man in the Wilderness (1971) and Lord Grizzly (1954). The Revenant is based on the 2002 novel though. Highly recommend.
