I just got my DT 1&2 and DTA pledge and have slowly been able to bring it to the table a couple of times. Monk is one of the characters I drew and random. I was really disappointed at first as he didn't look very strong and, personally, it's not my favorite type of character. But daaaaaaaaamn was he good. I was blown away by his power but not as much as my opponent was. ;)

I could go on and on about this game. Needless to say anyone can beat anyone. My personal powerhouse is Cursed Pirate, but each has its own play style. Once you master a character move onto the rest. DTA is so fun with 4 people such a great CO-OP game.

Played with the Samurai and Monk in DT Adventures. Shadow Thief will be next. I got through my first campaign with the Samurai without a Portal or Boss loss, although a few wins were by the skin of my teeth. The Honor and Strike Back come in handy, but I really appreciate the defense ability of the Samurai. And, you're right about Undefendable Damage. It make makes a huge difference against some Minions, even if it is just 3 damage.

So pumped to get season two soon! We are new to Dice Throne. I have only played the Moon Elf and the Pyromancer of Season One Rerolled so far, and my husband has only played the Barbarian. Pyromancer is my favorite of the three. I am excited to try them all! Also, I kind of want matching dice trays now. :) Those are cool.

I do love Artificer - the bots remind me of Heimerdinger from LOL or Mei Hastume from MHA. Both of them are SUPER complex (to play & to film, at the time I had mapped out ideas for EVERY fighter) so I don't get them on the table as often. These 8 are the ones me and my friends pull the most even though I hate Shadow Thief and wish they didn't exist!!!

Personally, my favorites are Shadow Thief, Treant, Artificer, Paladin, and Monk. Vampire Lord is close as well. I like Seraph and Ninja as well, their dice just never seem to roll well for me.

I am a huge Ranger/Druid RPG player so I had to give her a real look. She can be so deadly if you use Nyra at the right time but, if Nyra faints she loses half her utility

I want to like Huntress, but I just can’t seem to do well with her. You’d think with the extra health with Nyra, would allow for extra time to wear down your opponent, but I just keep losing with her.

Oh I definitely been there. We're thinking of her the same way, since she doesn't have a lot of big damage. I use Nyra as the "Ultimate Shield" but I win with her when I focus on keeping bleed up while healing/playing defensive even when Nyra is alive. After she dies you're mad vulnerable and have less attack potential when she's not adding bleed

I couldn't agree more on your number two. The thief is so bad and I hate him so much that I would also put him at number two. My wife and I played a single elimination game of all 14 characters (28 games) pre-rerolled. I played the cursed pirate first and took out six of her characters then she got the cursed pirate later on and she took out six of my characters that's 12 games of the 28 games we played. The lot of people say that the cursed pirate can be beaten.and I don't disagree but taking out 12 characters and out 28 is something to be afraid of. The way to play her is to do as much damage as you can and flipping the board as fast as you can and then using all of the superpowers from the other side to wipe the floor with the characters. So hands-down my number one is cursed pirate I don't even play her very much because it's so uneven going against her.

no hero is a dud. anyone can take down anyone. its all in the dice at the end of the day. however, there is definitely a playstyle niche that each hero fills. best advice is to do your research then make your purchase.

I haven't played with the samurai Myself yet, but it sounds like he has a lot of counter Attacks. Which means you want to get those cards in your hand as quick as possible, to be able Inflict maximum damage when he's be attacked.

GLAD YOU ASKED! I think the defense is decent - it doesn’t give you a lot of dice but, it guarantees you will a) deal damage b) prevent damage or c) deal and prevent on the same roll (because it makes use of every die face). Two other reasons: 1) Backstrike/Honor tokens are a lot better than I could touch on in this short vid. Any opportunity to deal damage without spending cards is solid. And he has a PASSIVE that helps : “BUSHIDO” - at the end of the turn, if you use less than 3 rolls during your Offense, gain Honor.” 2) Samurai is forgiving on rolls (useful for the passive noted above). He only has 3 possible symbols (katana/kabuto/rising sun). So if you don’t like your first two rolls, or keep a bad combo, it’s very unlikely you will fail to attack altogether. He won’t do massive damage playing like that but, you won’t regret settling for any damage.

i thought the same thing about shadow thief. every time i gain shadows off of DEFENSE i love to say ''playtest? what playtest?'' lately ive taken a break from the thief to mess around with paladin. (love characters who generate massive amounts of cp) i gotta say, the paladin seems like a solid character with a solid defense and passive. my next investment might be the tactician because his kit seems like one id vibe pretty hard with. anyone here have an opinion on tactician?

Tactician is fun & complicated. But he has some serious firepower. Very serious 🧐 💣
