I have some of these symptoms but my car coded a P0299. Is it possible that it's the boost pressure system and not the entire turbo charger?

Same - it's a cheap component so might replace it anyway

That code is a bad turbo

I have a p0299 that comes on every 5 weeks or after pushing car a bit harder. My whole turbo was replaced less than a year ago, wondering the same thing myself.

@@Bigc223 I took mine into the shop and found out it was just a detached vacuum hose. I really thought it was going to be a full turbo replacement but I was so surprised that it was a detached hose causing so much strife.

@@melissapewitt5477 I really appreciate the reply and glad it wasn’t an expensive fix. I actually had the same issue, I went under the hood and there was an 8inch vacuum hose connecting to my turbo wastegate actuator and it had a small split in it right where it connected. Swapped it out with a 1 dollar hose from autozone and I can feel the difference like crazy. Reset the code nothing yet

Why i found oil inside turbocharger booster sensor?
@MechanicalBoost2 ай бұрын
@@smailboumrar8992 Oil in your turbocharger's boost sensor can be a sign of an issue, usually related to your engine’s ventilation or turbocharger system. Here are some possible reasons: 1) PCV System Issues: If the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) system is malfunctioning, it can allow oil mist from the crankcase to enter the intake, which can then reach the turbo and boost sensor. 2) Turbo Seals: Worn or damaged seals within the turbocharger can allow oil to leak into the intake tract, eventually reaching the boost sensor. This is especially common in high-mileage or heavily used turbochargers. 3) Excessive Blow-By: If there's excessive blow-by from worn piston rings, more oil vapor can be pushed into the intake, potentially reaching the boost sensor. 4) Oil Accumulation in Intercooler: Over time, oil mist from the intake system can accumulate in the intercooler and travel into the turbo system, leading to contamination in sensors along the path. 5) Poor Maintenance or Clogged Filters: If your air filters or oil separators are dirty or clogged, they may not be filtering out oil mist properly, allowing it to enter the intake.
