Sentosa is a natural island, its former name was palau blakan mati(death from behind island) and was both used as a graveyard island, pirate island and a fort at different points in time.

The island existed before the casino was made. It was called Pulau Belakang Mati literally meaning Dead at the back of the island. There were pirates there back then and they were killed there. The casino and resorts world came many many years later after all the other attractions at Sentosa.

Have you visited Ayer Rajah Food Centre? (I guess you live nearby, based on the video you did). That hawker centre is known for famous Malay & Indian cuisine like, roti prata and more.

unless you dont need to see theme parks, well sentosa is actually cheap, and you can go swimming on its beach. you can stay for a few days and leave, go to mALAYsia

@CurrentlyHannah Correction: Sentosa isn't a man-made island. The island existed way before the casino is built. So, bascially it's 100% wrong to say Sentosa is built for the casino. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sentosa

You're very right, I got that fact wrong. But the fun filled tourist area that is Sentosa that we know now was built for the casino.

CurrentlyHannah sentosa has been made into a tourist destination for the past 42 years, long way before the casino which was built only just 7 years ago. Just because a casino is bulit there does not mean the island is bulit specifically for it since resort world did not bulit or own the whole island and there are other amenities there. The name sentosa means nice island. It was not built. It existed already and they built the casino on the island.

oops hannah corrections! sentosa island is NOT man made including thebeach wifnatural sandy beachesasi usedto visit there asa very young school kid with classmates with includingovernite camping! it is a very old island used bythe colonist uk as a defence fortress during ww2 against the japanese invasion though most attractions are man made like USS butglduou enjoyed our time here as we arealmost neighbouring countries cheers
