As we begin this year with pureemotionmusic this selection is as diverse and talented as could be imagined...three from Norway, three from Uzbekistan and some real surprises with song choices too...like Aliannys doing Doris Day with "Perhaps" and Rayhona A. doing "1944" with dramatic and soaring vocals of this always moving song. Although all three of the Norway contestants were technically and emotionally superb, I must agree that Maria B. as awarland65 noted, with her own song, granted us an emotional moment that is rare. Quite a start as each of this nine deserves attention...thanks to the curator, as usual!

Hello my fellow Pure fans! I know I'm a day late this week, I had to work yesterday. But I couldn't let this week's entry go without comment. First: Both Marthe's and Olivia's covers of Billie Eilish songs were just beautiful. Herman's cover of Wicked Games reminded me of the first time I heard this song (a long, long time ago, lol). Second: I have often heard some say you should never sing your own song for your audition. Maria says, (as we say in Texas)" Hold my beer!" That was one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard! And I didn't understand one single word! And last: 1944. Rayhona's cover of this was very good! But, I have a strong bond to the cover done by Elina Ivaschenko from The Voice Kids Ukraine. Tina Karol was her coach. Anytime I hear 1944 I see this video in my head. Pure made a 'Winner's Journey' style video for Elina about 5 years ago. Just search for "The Voice of Elina Ivaschenko" on Pure's channel. Pure! Welcome back, and Well done!

All I can say is there's some very easily pleased judges on these shows and also there seemed to be a majority of clearly professional singers who were trying to by pass the hard work and get instant fame using these shows
